Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Duolingo is on a mission to make education universally accessible and of the highest quality, and we're seeking a dynamic Marketing Producer (Contract) to be instrumental in bringing our brand campaigns to life. This role is pivotal in translating creative visions into tangible, high-impact marketing assets, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion. As a Marketing Producer, you will be the linchpin for end-to-end production, managing all facets of campaign execution to deliver exceptional results on time and within budget.
- • You will be responsible for meticulously planning and executing marketing campaigns, taking ownership of production schedules, run-of-show, and all on-the-ground coordination. This includes managing the intricate workflows of vendors and talent, ensuring that every aspect of production aligns with Duolingo's high standards and strategic objectives. Your ability to anticipate needs, proactively identify potential roadblocks, and implement effective solutions will be crucial to your success.
- • A core aspect of this role involves fostering strong collaborative relationships. You will partner closely with internal teams such as Program Managers, Creatives, Legal, and Finance, as well as external vendors and talent. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for ensuring that all production-related activities, including contracts, rights clearances, Statements of Work (SOWs), and budget management, are handled with precision and efficiency.
- • The Marketing Producer will play a key role in developing and refining production processes. You will be tasked with building simple, repeatable workflows and comprehensive documentation that enhance production velocity without compromising on the quality of the final assets. This proactive approach to process improvement will contribute to a more agile and effective marketing operation.
- • On-the-ground execution is a significant component of this role. You will be responsible for coordinating all logistical aspects of shoots and activations, which may include managing props, costumes, talent, and ensuring the smooth running of events. This hands-on involvement requires a willingness to be adaptable and resourceful, especially during fast-paced campaign launches.
- • A unique and exciting responsibility includes overseeing mascot suit coordination and prop production logistics. This involves managing reservations, liaising with vendors, tracking maintenance schedules, and coordinating shipment logistics to ensure our beloved mascots are ready for their close-ups and that all props are accounted for and in optimal condition.
- • Maintaining impeccable organization is paramount. You will be expected to keep production asset libraries and trackers meticulously organized. This ensures that all stakeholders have clear visibility into what assets are being produced, when they are scheduled to ship, and where creative assets are stored post-production. This level of detail is critical for efficient asset management and future campaign planning.
- • Collaboration with Program Managers will be ongoing, focusing on aligning timelines, translating creative briefs into actionable production plans, and guaranteeing the timely and budget-conscious delivery of assets across a variety of channels, including social media, video, web, and events. Your role bridges the gap between creative ideation and successful market deployment.
- • This is a contract position, expected to require an average of 20-40 hours per week during engagement periods. However, there will be flexibility to increase hours significantly during critical campaign planning and launch phases, demanding a commitment to meet ambitious project deadlines. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a strong bias for action, and excels at managing multiple concurrent workstreams with clarity and precision.
- • You will be the guardian of production quality, ensuring that all deliverables meet Duolingo's brand standards and user expectations. This involves a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of production best practices, and the ability to guide projects through complex approval processes.
- • The role demands a proactive communicator who can effectively manage expectations and provide clear, concise updates to a diverse range of stakeholders, fostering trust and ensuring alignment throughout the production lifecycle.
- • Ultimately, you will contribute directly to Duolingo's mission by ensuring that our marketing efforts are not only creative and engaging but also flawlessly executed, reaching and inspiring our global community of learners.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on production experience (producer or production management) in social, digital, or brand campaigns, including on-set coordination and vendor management.
- • Demonstrated experience owning production schedules, budgets, contracts, rights clearances, and deliverables across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with creative, marketing, legal, and external partners.
- • Exceptional organizational skills, with a proven ability to create and maintain documentation such as run-of-show, asset trackers, and call sheets, and provide clear status updates.
- • Experience building lean, repeatable processes that improve production speed and quality.
- • Ability to work on-site for productions and activations as needed, demonstrating a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude for scrappy shoots.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission-driven company with a global impact.
- • Flexible contract work with the potential for increased hours during peak campaign periods.
- • Exposure to world-class creative and marketing teams.
- • Diverse and engaging production challenges, including unique projects like mascot suit coordination.
- • Potential for professional growth and skill development in a dynamic educational technology environment.
- • Collaborative and supportive work culture focused on innovation and problem-solving.
