đź“‹ Description
- • The Marketing Specialist – LATAM role is a pivotal position designed to accelerate AMBOSS’s expansion throughout the Spanish‑speaking markets of Latin America. As the company’s learning and clinical decision‑support platform continues to gain traction among medical students and physicians worldwide, the LATAM specialist will own the strategy that translates global brand messaging into locally resonant campaigns. This role matters because it directly influences user acquisition, activation, and retention in a region where educational systems, exam preparation needs, and healthcare workflows differ markedly from those in Europe or the United States. By tailoring AMBOSS’s value proposition to the cultural, linguistic, and regulatory nuances of each LATAM country, the specialist helps ensure that medical professionals receive the most relevant, evidence‑based resources at the right moment, ultimately supporting better patient care across the continent.
- • Day‑to‑day responsibilities begin with deep market research: the specialist will immerse themselves in local exam curricula, university structures, and the distinct motivations of students versus practicing physicians in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile. Using these insights, they will adapt global creative assets and copy to reflect regional idioms, preferences, and channel habits—leveraging platforms that dominate LATAM digital landscapes, including Meta, WhatsApp, and emerging organic social networks. The role involves planning and executing multichannel campaigns across CRM, paid social, search engine marketing, SEO, and organic social, setting up A/B tests, monitoring performance dashboards, and iterating based on data‑driven insights. End‑to‑end project management is central: coordinating with global CRM, performance marketing, creative, and product teams to ensure timelines are met, budgets are respected, and learnings are documented into scalable best practices that can be reused across other LATAM markets.
- • AMBOSS is a fast‑growing, mission‑driven health‑tech company that serves as a copilot for medical professionals worldwide. Founded in 2012 by physicians who wished for a better study tool, the company now employs over 600 people across offices in Berlin, Cologne, New York, Cagliari, and Cape Town, and its platform is active in more than 180 countries. The culture blends rigorous scientific standards with innovative thinking and a strong emphasis on AI‑enhanced learning. Teams are collaborative, data‑informed, and encouraged to experiment through internal hackathons, AI cross‑talks, and continuous learning opportunities such as Blinkist access. Working in the LATAM marketing squad means joining a diverse, international group that values ownership, accountability, and the ability to bridge strategic vision with operational execution. The company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures that every employee—regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, disability, or sexual orientation—is respected and given equal opportunity to thrive.
- • In this role, the specialist will develop a rare blend of strategic marketing expertise and hands‑on execution skills specific to emerging markets. They will gain deep knowledge of how medical education systems operate across Latin America, becoming a trusted advisor on localization for product and commercial teams. The position offers extensive experience in managing full‑funnel campaigns with limited data sets, sharpening analytical abilities and fostering a habit of turning insights into action. Cross‑functional collaboration with global stakeholders will strengthen communication, negotiation, and project‑management capabilities, while exposure to cutting‑edge AI medical technology provides a unique view of the future of health‑tech. Success in the role can lead to broader leadership opportunities within AMBOSS’s global marketing organization, or a path toward regional marketing management, product marketing, or even growth‑focused roles in other emerging markets. Ultimately, the specialist will see the tangible impact of their work as more medical students and professionals adopt AMBOSS to improve their learning and clinical decision‑making.
