- • As a Marketing Strategist at SmartBug Media, you will be the pivotal force in driving client success and fostering resilient growth across their entire customer lifecycle. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Client Operations, you will serve as the strategic account lead, collaborating intimately with client executives to meticulously define their objectives and architect innovative strategies to achieve them. Your role is to translate complex customer goals and evolving needs into comprehensive strategic plans that span the full spectrum of the customer journey, from initial acquisition through to long-term retention and advocacy. You will be the primary custodian of client satisfaction, diligently monitoring performance metrics and client health to ensure our strategies are not only effective but also adaptable to market dynamics.

- • **Client Success & Relationship Management:**
- • Cultivate and nurture robust, long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, demonstrating comfort and confidence in interacting with C-Suite executives.
- • Lead the critical discovery and onboarding phases for new clients, ensuring a profound understanding of their unique goals, objectives, challenges, and existing business landscape.
- • Architect the overarching, top-level strategy for your clients, working collaboratively with internal SmartBug departments to ensure these strategies are comprehensively expanded upon and flawlessly implemented. You are the driving force behind the client's strategic vision.
- • Act as the principal liaison and the recognizable face of SmartBug Media for your clients, ensuring seamless communication and a unified brand experience.
- • Proactively address client feedback, concerns, and evolving needs with promptness, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- • Ensure your clients perceive SmartBug Media as an indispensable partner in their growth trajectory, consistently delivering a 5-star customer experience that positions them as enthusiastic references.
- • Deliver consistent, world-class quality across all facets of customer lifecycle strategies and implementations, encompassing marketing, sales, customer success, and operational alignment.
- • Identify and capitalize on strategic opportunities to expand client retainer scope, proactively recommending additional and complementary services that align with and accelerate client needs and goals. This includes providing detailed scoping, accurate quotes, and strategic direction for implementation.
- • Develop an in-depth understanding of each client's business, industry nuances, and market challenges to tailor lifecycle strategies that are not only effective but also uniquely suited to drive mutual success.
- • Remain at the forefront of industry trends, market developments, competitive landscapes, and the evolving capabilities of HubSpot, ensuring client strategies are consistently cutting-edge and highly effective. Your expertise should position you as a peer and trusted advisor within your clients' industries.
- • **Strategy Development & Execution:**
- • Develop and implement value-based goals for clients that demonstrably impact their entire customer lifecycle.
- • Possess a strong grasp of demand generation, sales and CRM, and customer success strategies and tactics. This includes the ability to identify strategic gaps within a client's current approach and oversee the development and execution of tailored strategies to meet client goals, enhance satisfaction, and drive revenue growth.
- • **Demand Generation:** Expertise in ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, inbound marketing, content marketing and syndication, conversion rate optimization, event marketing, social media, conversational marketing, influencer marketing, account-based marketing, lead nurturing, and paid media, with a focus on leveraging HubSpot Marketing Hub and Content Hub capabilities.
- • **Sales and CRM:** Proficiency in product knowledge, building rapport, analyzing customer needs, communicating with diverse buyer personas, contact management, account-based selling, sequences, lead qualification and routing, pipeline management and automation, handling objections, prospecting, competitive analysis, and sales training, utilizing the full spectrum of HubSpot CRM features.
- • **Customer Success:** Deep understanding of establishing strong customer relationships, customer acquisition and retention strategies, effective customer onboarding, fostering customer loyalty, monitoring customer health metrics, utilizing customer feedback surveys, implementing cross-sell and upsell strategies, maximizing customer lifetime value, and analyzing service and support data, leveraging HubSpot Service Hub functionalities.
- • Develop comprehensive customer lifecycle strategies that align with stated business goals, with a relentless focus on demonstrating tangible ROI for your clients.
- • Understand the integration of third-party tools with HubSpot and recommend strategies that leverage these integrations effectively.
- • Optimize client HubSpot instances and execute technology strategies within the platform.
- • Collaborate with creative teams to develop and curate compelling sales collateral, presentations, and other content assets that directly support your clients' sales processes.
- • **Reporting & Analytics:**
- • Regularly assess and report on the tangible impact of sales enablement and operations efforts, ensuring ROI remains the central focus.
- • Utilize data-driven insights to continuously optimize strategies and enhance overall performance.
- • Provide comprehensive monthly reports, conduct insightful quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and deliver strategic recommendations grounded in a thorough analysis of performance data.
- • **Leadership & Delivery:**
- • Directly manage and mentor 1-2 Marketing Specialists, taking full responsibility for their performance and professional development.
- • Monitor and manage campaign budgets and project scope effectively.
- • Track and achieve key performance indicators, including effective billing rate (EBR) goals.
- • Collaborate seamlessly with internal SmartBug teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality work to clients.
- • Establish and adhere to processes that consistently yield differentiated client results and exceptional quality.
