- • As a Marketing Strategist at SmartBug Media, you will be at the forefront of driving client success within the dynamic senior living sector. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Client Operations, you will serve as the primary strategic account lead, collaborating closely with senior-level client executives to meticulously define their overarching business goals and architect comprehensive digital marketing strategies designed to achieve them. Your role is pivotal in translating the unique aspirations and evolving needs of our clients into actionable, data-driven strategic plans that encompass the entire customer lifecycle, from initial awareness and lead generation through to conversion, retention, and advocacy.
- • You will be the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for your assigned clients, embodying the SmartBug Media brand and delivering the first, and often most lasting, impression of our agency's expertise and commitment. This requires an exceptional ability to build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with senior-level stakeholders, understanding their business challenges and aligning our services to provide tangible solutions.
- • Success in this role hinges on your proactive engagement and an unwavering dedication to delivering an unparalleled customer experience. This means maintaining clear, consistent, and impactful communication with clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business, and consistently driving measurable, impactful results that exceed expectations.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to closely monitoring client performance metrics, identifying trends, and proactively addressing any potential challenges to ensure optimal client health and sustained growth. You will be instrumental in developing and presenting strategic recommendations, performance reports, and growth opportunities to client leadership, fostering a collaborative partnership.
- • You will be responsible for setting and achieving SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) client goals, ensuring that all strategic initiatives are aligned with these objectives and contribute directly to the client's bottom line. This involves a deep dive into market research, competitive analysis, and understanding the nuances of the senior living industry to inform your strategic recommendations.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to identify and capitalize on opportunities for out-of-scope revenue, demonstrating the value of SmartBug Media's expanded service offerings and driving profitable growth for both the client and the agency.
- • You will also be tasked with ensuring timely delivery of all strategic plans and marketing initiatives, maintaining project timelines, and coordinating with internal SmartBug Media teams (e.g., content, SEO, paid media, web development) to ensure seamless execution and high-quality deliverables.
- • Your performance will be evaluated based on a comprehensive set of key performance indicators (KPIs) designed to reflect your success in driving client satisfaction and business growth. These include, but are not limited to, client satisfaction scores (measured through results, retention rates, industry awards, positive reviews, and client testimonials), overall customer growth and profitability, the achievement of effective billing rates (EBRs), successful attainment of out-of-scope revenue targets, the establishment and achievement of SMART client goals, the timely execution and delivery of strategic plans, and maintaining individual utilization rates that align with company objectives.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Marketing Strategist, Account Manager, or similar client-facing role, with a strong understanding of digital marketing principles and strategy development.
- • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships, building trust, and driving client satisfaction and retention, preferably within an agency setting.
- • Experience working with or a strong understanding of the HubSpot platform and its various marketing and sales tools.
- • Ability to translate client business goals into actionable digital marketing strategies across the customer lifecycle.
- • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level executives.
- • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven strategic recommendations.
- • Experience in the senior living industry is a significant plus.
