  • • Own the end-to-end design, deployment, and governance of Google Tag Manager (GTM) and server-side GTM (sGTM) containers across ZOE’s web platforms, ensuring accurate tracking of user interactions and conversion signals.
  • • Design and implement a consistent, high-quality website data layer that informs marketing, product, and commercial decision-making, partnering directly with frontend engineers to ship custom events and validate instrumentation.
  • • Build and maintain server-side data pipelines that deliver conversion and value signals to advertising platforms including Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, and TikTok Events API, resolving discrepancies and ensuring cross-platform data consistency.
  • • Develop and optimize the ELT pipeline in BigQuery using dbt to transform raw event data into analyst-ready, governed data models that power experimentation, bidding, and commercial analytics.
  • • Implement and manage consent management platform (CMP) integrations—such as OneTrust—with GTM Consent Mode to ensure no tags fire prior to user consent and prevent PII leakage downstream.
  • • Deploy, audit, and document GTM configurations across both client-side and server-side containers, conducting regular validations to maintain data integrity and compliance with GDPR and CCPA standards.
  • • Leverage JavaScript to write custom GTM tags, templates, and server-side transforms, debugging tracking issues directly in the browser and ensuring reliable event capture across devices and user journeys.
  • • Integrate marketing and experimentation tools including Optimizely and Mixpanel into the data infrastructure to enable trustworthy A/B test results and user journey analysis.
  • • Utilize Terraform and GitHub Actions to automate infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD workflows for GTM, sGTM, and data pipeline deployments, reducing manual intervention and improving system reliability.
  • • Establish clear documentation, data governance policies, and ownership frameworks for the data platform so that marketing, analytics, and engineering teams can independently build upon and trust the infrastructure.
  • • Operate within a fast-moving, cross-functional team bridging marketing, engineering, and data, using short feedback loops to rapidly validate tracking accuracy and adapt systems to evolving business needs.
  • • Build scalable infrastructure on GCP using Cloud Run and Docker to host server-side GTM environments, ensuring high availability, low latency, and secure data processing.
  • • Ensure all marketing data infrastructure supports ZOE’s mission by delivering clean, reliable, and privacy-compliant data that directly influences commercial decisions and product experimentation.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Production experience with GTM and sGTM, including data layer design, event schema implementation, writing custom GTM templates and sGTM client/transform logic.
  • • Strong JavaScript skills for writing custom GTM tags and templates, implementing client-side event schemas, and debugging tracking instrumentation in the browser.
  • • Experience integrating conversion and value signals with advertising and attribution tools such as Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, and server-side event APIs in production.
  • • Proven experience with dbt and analytics-engineering practices to build best-in-class data models.
  • • Experience in creating a website data layer that informs marketing, commercial, and product teams.
  • • Working knowledge of cookie consent management (e.g., OneTrust) and familiarity with multi-region privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA.
