📋 Description
- • Design mechanical systems and components for AI-driven robots intended for industrial environments such as warehouses and factories.
- • Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication, ensuring precision and manufacturability.
- • Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components with other systems.
- • Optimize mechanical designs for cost, efficiency, and manufacturability without compromising performance or reliability.
- • Conduct mechanical simulations and performance testing to validate design functionality under real-world conditions.
- • Participate in prototyping processes to refine designs based on empirical feedback and testing outcomes.
- • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time for site visits, client engagements, or field testing.
- • Translate functional requirements into robust mechanical solutions that align with robotic automation goals.
- • Apply knowledge of material properties, manufacturing methods, and system integration to select appropriate components and processes.
- • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations for industrial robotics applications.
- • Document design iterations, test results, and engineering decisions for internal review and future reference.
- • Contribute to cross-functional design reviews and provide technical input during product development cycles.
- • Work within agile development timelines to deliver mechanical components on schedule and within budget constraints.
- • Support production teams during initial manufacturing runs to resolve design-related issues and improve yield.
- • Stay current with advancements in robotics, automation, and mechanical design technologies to inform innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in robotics or automation
- • Proficiency with CAD tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
- • Understanding of mechanical testing and prototyping processes
- • Strong knowledge of material properties, manufacturing methods, and system integration
- • Experience in industrial design or special purpose machinery is a plus
