📋 Description

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for commercial mechanical systems, including ductwork and piping for new installations in the US commercial construction market.
• Prepare detailed material estimates using company-specific pricing templates and Excel-based estimating tools.
• Assist with bid preparation, proposal documentation, and pre-construction planning for HVAC and mechanical piping projects.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, specification reviews, and code revisions throughout the bidding process.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing, product information, and quotations for mechanical systems.
• Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify scope, discrepancies, and potential cost risks.
• Maintain organized and auditable estimating records and documentation for all active and completed bids.
• Collaborate directly with Project Managers to align estimates with project timelines and client expectations.
• Work independently in a fast-paced remote environment while adhering to US Eastern Time business hours (8 AM – 5 PM).
• Utilize Procore and other digital construction management platforms to access project documents and streamline estimating workflows.
• Perform digital quantity takeoffs from construction drawings using specialized takeoff software.
• Apply strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical piping, ductwork, and commercial construction methods to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Adapt estimating templates and pricing structures based on project complexity, regional code requirements, and vendor pricing fluctuations.
• Support pre-construction phases by identifying material alternatives, labor implications, and scheduling constraints from bid documents.
• Ensure all estimates are competitive, compliant with project specifications, and aligned with company profit targets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously while meeting strict bid deadlines.
• Continuously improve estimating processes by identifying inefficiencies and proposing template or workflow enhancements.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience estimating commercial mechanical construction projects in the US market
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical construction methods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining estimating templates
• Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
