- • Day-to-day responsibilities include acting as the primary liaison between members, providers, and pharmacies to troubleshoot prescription issues, delays, and prior authorizations; communicating with pharmacies and senior medical staff; identifying recurring medication concerns and escalating workflow gaps; recognizing signs of medical emergencies and following escalation protocols; fielding inbound member communications via phone, chat, email, or SMS; assisting with medication reconciliation in the EHR system; reviewing medical records for accuracy; assisting providers with lab orders, prior authorizations, and documentation; conducting or reviewing remote Urine Drug Screens (UDS); maintaining familiarity with medications, interactions, and healthcare practices; staying current on virtual patient care best practices; and cross-training on scheduling and basic tech support tasks to enhance member experience.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 4 years of experience as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) in a MOUD or MAT medication-assisted treatment program
- • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a telehealth behavioral health or substance use treatment setting
- • Medical Assistant Certification required—recognized as a CMA or RMA by one of the following national organizations: AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, American Allied Health, NHCWA, NAHP, or NRMA
- • Strong understanding of medical terminology, medications, substance use treatment, and general healthcare and pharmaceutical practices
- • Experience with EHR systems, prior authorizations, and pharmacy coordination
- • Excellent customer service skills, empathy, and the ability to build strong rapport with members
