đ Description
- ⢠As the Medical Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Brightline Interactive Inc., you will serve as the strategic and clinical leader responsible for owning and evolving the psychiatry service line, reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer to ensure clinical excellence, innovation, and alignment with business goals across a rapidly growing, multi-state telehealth organization.
- ⢠You will lead a distributed team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and clinical leaders, driving the development and execution of evidence-based psychiatric care models that integrate technology, AI, and product innovation while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical quality.
- ⢠Your role will bridge clinical expertise with organizational strategy, influencing executive decision-making on market expansion, service delivery, and risk management, while shaping Brightlineâs long-term vision for pediatric mental health care in a telehealth-first environment.
- ⢠Day to day, you will lead the psychiatry service line through subordinate managers and leads (e.g., Lead NPs, Regional Psychiatrists), providing clinical oversight, mentorship, and performance guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery across all patient interactions.
- ⢠You will contribute to the development of Brightlineâs overarching clinical strategic plans, organizational policies, and operational effectiveness by participating in cross-functional planning sessions and translating clinical insights into actionable business initiatives.
- ⢠You will manage the psychiatry function budget, allocating resources in alignment with business segment strategies and growth targets, ensuring financial sustainability while investing in clinical innovation and team development.
- ⢠You will develop corporate-wide methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for psychiatric care to ensure alignment with evidence-based practices, establishing standardized protocols for evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up that scale across state lines and care modalities.
- ⢠You will resolve highly complex clinical and operational issues where standard principles may not apply, particularly at the intersection of telehealth, emerging regulations, and AI-driven tools, making critical decisions that balance innovation with patient safety and legal compliance.
- ⢠You will direct the development of new methods for chart reviews, quality assurance, and risk mitigation across multi-state jurisdictions, designing systems that support audit readiness, compliance, and continuous improvement in clinical outcomes.
- ⢠You will drive results by harmonizing views across Engineering, Product, and Care Ops to build state-of-the-art, technology-driven care models, serving as the clinical voice in product development cycles to ensure tools are clinically meaningful, usable, and safe.
- ⢠You will lead the clinical strategy for AI tooling and scalable telehealth innovations, evaluating algorithms, guiding ethical use, and ensuring that technological advancements enhance rather than compromise therapeutic relationships or diagnostic accuracy.
- ⢠You will oversee the cross-licensing strategy to ensure the prescribing team can meet the demands of a rapidly growing, multi-state member base, navigating licensure requirements, collaborative practice agreements, and regulatory variances to support seamless care delivery.
- ⢠About the team or company: Brightline is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric mental health, delivering virtual and in-person therapy, psychiatry, and psychological testing to families and children up to age 18, with a mission to expand access to high-quality, inclusive care through innovation and evidence-based practice.
- ⢠The company has been honored with awards including Fast Companyâs 50 Most Innovative Companies (2022) and the Behavioral Health Business Companies to Watch Award (2024), backed by prominent investors such as Google Ventures, KKR, Boston Childrenâs Hospital, and Northwell Health, reflecting its commitment to clinical excellence and scalable impact.
- ⢠What the person can learn or achieve in this role: You will have the opportunity to shape the future of child and adolescent psychiatry at scale, influencing how technology and clinical expertise converge to improve access, outcomes, and equity in mental health care for thousands of families nationwide.
- ⢠You will grow as a clinical leader in a high-growth, mission-driven environment, gaining experience in strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, budget management, and innovation strategy â all while advancing your impact beyond individual patient care to systemic change in behavioral health delivery.
