📋 Description

• As a Medical Director for generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) within Amgen's Rare Disease unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the medical strategy for UPLIZNA, a critical therapy for patients battling serious illnesses.
• This position is central to Amgen's mission of serving patients by providing deep medical and scientific expertise to guide the post-launch planning and execution of medical support activities.
• You will be instrumental in developing the long-term vision for the Medical Affairs area, ensuring healthcare professionals receive accurate, comprehensive, and timely medical information to optimize patient care.
• A significant aspect of this role involves fostering robust, collaborative, and compliant partnerships with various internal departments, including Research and Development, Access, Commercial, Outcomes Research, and Publications.
• The successful candidate will leverage their clinical and therapeutic knowledge to conceptualize, develop, and implement projects that align with and advance the strategic objectives of the Medical Affairs organization.
• You will be responsible for engaging with key external therapeutic experts (HCPs), providing them with high-level clinical education and insights, and building strong relationships based on scientific exchange.

• You will be tasked with delivering essential background scientific information and specialized scientific project training to various internal teams, including sales, marketing, business development, and the field medical team.
• Active participation in and support of external medical meetings and conferences is expected, representing Amgen and engaging with the scientific community.
• You will lead and participate in US advisory boards, medical education programs, and other critical medical activities designed to support the appropriate adoption and use of Amgen's innovative products.
• A strong emphasis will be placed on partnering with the Compliance department to ensure all activities, programs, and projects strictly adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree (MD, DO, PhD) and 4 years of Medical Affairs and/or Neurology experience, OR Master’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs and/or Neurology experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of Medical Affairs and/or Neurology experience.
• Relevant clinical therapeutic experience, with a strong preference for a focus in Neurology.
• Experience in generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) is considered a significant advantage.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
• Experience with digital health strategies, data platforms, and innovative engagement tools is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, mitigate risks, and adapt easily to changing work environments with comfort in ambiguity.
