đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Lindus Health as a Medical Director, a pivotal part-time role (approximately 1 day per week) designed for experienced physicians seeking to leverage their clinical expertise in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. This is a unique opportunity to contribute significant medical leadership to our UK operations, supporting a diverse portfolio of clinical trials across various therapeutic areas. If you are a qualified physician with a passion for accelerating medical innovation and improving patient access to groundbreaking treatments, this role offers a flexible and impactful way to make a tangible difference.
  • • At Lindus Health, we are revolutionizing the clinical trial landscape, moving beyond the traditional CRO model to fundamentally transform how new treatments are developed. Our mission is to power biology's century by making clinical trials radically faster and more reliable. Since our inception in March 2021, we have successfully supported over 100 clinical trials, involving tens of thousands of patients. Our recent $55M Series B funding, led by Balderton Capital and supported by prominent investors like Creandum, Firstminute, Seedcamp, and Visionaries, underscores our rapid growth and the significant impact we are making.
  • • As a Medical Director, you will be at the forefront of our medical function, taking on substantive responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our trials. Your core duties will encompass comprehensive medical monitoring, acting as a key investigator, serving as a vital liaison with our sponsors, and contributing expert medical insight to protocol development. This role is perfectly suited for a senior doctor or clinical researcher who values high-impact, flexible work that complements their primary career, offering the chance to engage in meaningful work without the demands of a full-time commitment.
  • • Your responsibilities will include meticulous medical monitoring, where you will review and assess adverse events, safety data, and protocol deviations. You will be empowered to make critical medical decisions regarding participant safety and the continuation of studies, ensuring the highest ethical and clinical standards are maintained. This oversight is paramount to the integrity and success of each trial.
  • • In your capacity as an investigator, you will have the opportunity to serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator on designated trials. This involves ensuring strict adherence to approved protocols, upholding ethical research principles, and overseeing the clinical conduct of the trial at the site level. Your leadership will be instrumental in guaranteeing the quality and reliability of the data generated.
  • • As a sponsor liaison, you will act as a key medical point of contact, fostering strong relationships and clear communication channels. You will contribute valuable medical expertise to feasibility assessments, participate in safety reviews, and engage in ongoing clinical dialogue with our sponsors, ensuring their needs and expectations are met while upholding scientific rigor.
  • • Protocol development is another critical area where your input will be highly valued. You will contribute your extensive medical knowledge to the design and refinement of trial protocols, helping to shape studies that are not only scientifically rigorous but also operationally feasible and efficient. Your insights will directly influence the direction and success of new treatment development.
  • • You will cover a diverse range of therapeutic areas, including but not limited to diabetes, OB/GYN, dermatology, migraine, COVID-19, sleep disorders, oncology diagnostics, and uterine cancer. This breadth of coverage offers a stimulating and varied workload, allowing you to apply your expertise across multiple fields of medicine.
  • • Working at Lindus Health means experiencing high-impact, mission-driven work where you can directly improve patients' lives and witness the tangible results of your contributions. We foster a fast-paced growth environment where hard work and outcomes are recognized and rewarded. You will have the opportunity to take on real responsibility, work across different areas of the business, and actively shape the company's success. Our collaborative, no-ego culture encourages working with smart, driven individuals in a supportive and informal setting. We break down silos, value fun, and encourage creativity, making Lindus Health an exciting and rewarding place to work.
  • • This role is remote-friendly, requiring approximately one day per week of commitment. You will collaborate directly with our VP Medical and the senior leadership team, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making and contributing to the overall medical direction of the company. We are committed to providing a supportive and flexible working arrangement that allows you to balance this role with your existing professional commitments.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Qualified physician with an active medical license in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a similar relevant specialty.
  • • Prior experience serving as a Principal Investigator (PI) on clinical trials.
  • • Demonstrated clinical trial experience gained within a CRO, pharmaceutical company, biotech firm, or academic research environment.
  • • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and UK/MHRA regulatory requirements.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with sponsors, cross-functional teams, and non-medical stakeholders.
  • • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive senior rate, pro-rated to the part-time commitment.
  • • Additional payment for participation in the on-call rota.
  • • Comprehensive insurance coverage for all work undertaken on behalf of Lindus Health.
  • • Remote-friendly working arrangement, approximately 1 day per week.
  • • Direct collaboration and mentorship opportunities with our VP Medical and senior leadership team.
