Mobile Wave Solutions, a dynamic software development services company with over 120 engineers dedicated to delivering scalable, high-quality software for global clients, is seeking a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to assume complete ownership of our AWS ecosystem.
• • In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary technical authority, responsible for the comprehensive design, robust security, and continuous evolution of our cloud footprint. This is an exceptional opportunity for an engineer who thrives on a broad scope of responsibility, from architecting high-level solutions to managing day-to-day operational tasks.
• • You will be the technical anchor for all AWS-related incidents, leading the charge in technical triage and hands-on remediation for critical P1/P2 events. Your ability to maintain clear and concise communication with stakeholders throughout these high-pressure situations will be paramount.
• • Furthermore, you will act as the hands-on control owner for our ISO 27001 compliance, ensuring our platform consistently meets the highest standards of resilience, security, and cost-effectiveness. This involves a deep dive into security best practices, cloud governance, and the implementation of secure patterns for Identity and Access Management (IAM), network segmentation using Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and ingress/egress controls.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to building, operating, and evolving all AWS environments, encompassing both production and non-production setups. A key focus will be ensuring these environments consistently meet stringent availability, performance, and recovery objectives.
• • You will be instrumental in defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to accurately measure and monitor the health of our services. Proactive identification of reliability risks and the systematic reduction of operational toil through advanced automation and self-healing infrastructure will be core to your mission.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves providing direct, hands-on support for ISO 27001 audits. This includes meticulously managing technical documentation, maintaining comprehensive audit evidence, and ensuring that all operational practices are in strict alignment with the defined security control areas.
• • You will also be responsible for maintaining and securing our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This includes owning the standards for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring that all infrastructure changes are rigorously controlled, auditable, and repeatable.
