- ⢠The Medical Safety Manager for Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) at Philips plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety by evaluating safety data from post-marketing surveillance, literature, and clinical sources to support risk management, hazard evaluations, and regulatory compliance.
- ⢠Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting literature reviews and safety surveillance, analyzing clinical and post-market safety data, providing safety input for new product introductions and clinical studies, supporting regulatory submissions (e.g., Risk-Benefit Analyses, CSRs, CERs), and responding to safety inquiries from healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
- ⢠The role operates within Philipsâ Image Guided Therapy Devices division, a global health technology leader committed to improving access to quality healthcare through innovation and a purpose-driven culture centered on patient well-being.
- ⢠In this position, the individual will deepen expertise in medical device safety, regulatory standards (ISO, IEC), and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing to proactive risk mitigation and safety culture advancement across the product lifecycle.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠Bachelorâs degree with 5+ years of experience OR Masterâs degree with 3+ years of experience in Medical/Clinical Affairs within the medical device or biotech industry; clinical experience (e.g., nursing, medicine) is required.
- ⢠Strong knowledge of medical device safety standards and regulations (ISO, IEC) and proven ability to conduct Health Hazard Evaluations (HHE), Issue Impact Assessments, and Risk-Benefit Analyses (RBA) in a medical device environment.
- ⢠Excellent communication and influencing skills to effectively engage cross-functional stakeholders using clinical expertise and knowledge of standard of care.
- ⢠Must meet the physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements for a field-based role, with or without accommodation.
- ⢠US work authorization is required; sponsorship for work-authorized visas will not be considered.

- ⢠Competitive base pay ranging from $133,000 to $237,000 depending on geographic location, with additional compensation possible via annual incentive bonus and long-term incentives.
