  • • The Medicare Eligibility Supervisor leads the Eligibility Specialist team to drive SSDI consent rate goals, a critical driver of enrollments and revenue, by managing performance, accountability, and team development to ensure operational excellence and customer-centric outcomes.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include strategically managing consent task inventory, monitoring individual and team results, identifying process improvements, and allocating resources effectively to meet or exceed SSDI consent targets while maintaining workload balance across the team.
  • • The supervisor leads and motivates a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and guidance on best practices, fostering creativity and problem-solving to overcome challenges and achieve departmental objectives.
  • • Maintains strong team engagement via clear communication, regular check-ins, and consistent availability to address questions, challenges, and development needs, ensuring a supportive and inclusive team environment.
  • • Fosters a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, tracking progress, providing constructive feedback on strengths and areas for growth, and recognizing achievements to sustain motivation and performance.
  • • Ensures workload balance by overseeing task distribution, prioritizing proactive outreach to Eligibility Services customers, and adjusting assignments as needed to prevent burnout while driving toward key performance goals.
  • • Supports oversight of G&P lead distribution and workflow, serving as a point of escalation for complex cases requiring additional attention, and collaborates with the Sales Manager to align eligibility efforts with sales and retention strategies.
  • • Partners with the Sales Manager to review performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and support departmental and individual retention goals through data-informed coaching and process refinements.
  • • Contributes to the onboarding and ongoing training of new and existing agents by providing systems and workflow training, sharing best practices, and reinforcing compliance with Medicare guidelines and company protocols.
  • • Acts as a role model for professionalism and customer advocacy, embodying Brown & Brown’s culture of meritocracy and inclusion, where self-starters are empowered to do what is best for customers and teammates alike.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Life & Health licensure required
  • • AHIP certification required
  • • 2-3 years’ experience in a Medicare-focused insurance agency required
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products preferred
  • • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support team needs
