• • Vinci4D Inc. is building a copilot for hardware engineers, combining AI, geometry processing, and physics simulation to enable design validation in seconds instead of hours, and this role is central to constructing the backend infrastructure that powers this transformation by connecting AI models, simulation data, and production software used directly by engineers.
• • As a Member of Technical Staff - Backend Engineer, you will own critical systems that bridge data generation and product functionality, ensuring that high-fidelity physical predictions are delivered rapidly and reliably to users through scalable, observable services.
• • Day to day, you will design and implement production-grade backend services and APIs that support core user workflows in the Vinci platform, focusing on reliability, performance, and clean, maintainable code that integrates with ML models and simulation engines.
• • You will build and manage data pipelines that generate, process, validate, and curate large-scale datasets used for training and evaluating AI models, handling simulation outputs, geometry data, and experiment artifacts with attention to data quality and pipeline robustness.
• • You will develop integrations between internal models, external tools, and simulation engines, ensuring seamless data flow and service interoperability across the ML, physics, and product engineering teams.
• • You will design and operate containerized services in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar), applying modern deployment practices to balance throughput, latency, and cost while maintaining system observability and reliability.
• • You will collaborate closely with ML engineers, physics researchers, and product engineers to translate research and product requirements into scalable system designs, taking ownership of features from concept to production.
• • You will contribute to a culture of engineering excellence by improving system performance, debugging complex issues, and enhancing observability to ensure the platform remains stable and efficient under compute-heavy workloads.
