- • Join Vinci4D Inc. as a Member of Technical Staff - Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-enabled design assistance for hardware engineers. We are at the forefront of innovation, building next-generation AI tools that go beyond understanding design to actively improving it. Our sophisticated system integrates machine learning, 3D geometry, simulation, and constraint reasoning to empower engineers with meaningful design exploration. We are developing foundational models for geometry and physics, with our first model already launched and our capabilities rapidly expanding.
- • As a Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in constructing and scaling robust data systems that can adeptly handle the complexities of application data. This role is central to our growth, ensuring our infrastructure can evolve alongside our advanced models, diverse applications, and expanding feature suite. You will become an indispensable expert in our data schemas, intricate data transformations, and the critical pipelines that unlock new features and enable our customers to leverage our application with maximum efficiency.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and serve data for both our core AI models and user-facing applications. You will work closely with our engineering and research teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient, reliable data solutions. This includes developing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality and integrity, and building data models that support complex analytical queries and machine learning workflows.
- • You will be deeply involved in optimizing data storage and retrieval mechanisms, focusing on performance and cost-effectiveness. This may involve selecting and implementing appropriate database technologies, designing efficient indexing strategies, and fine-tuning query performance. A significant aspect of this role will be ensuring our data infrastructure can support the unique demands of working with high-resolution 3D geometry and simulation metadata, a key differentiator for Vinci4D.
- • Collaboration is key. You will partner with machine learning engineers to provide them with clean, well-structured datasets for model training and inference. You will also work with backend engineers to ensure seamless data flow between our application services and data stores. Understanding the end-to-end data lifecycle, from ingestion to consumption, will be crucial for success.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a product with significant real-world impact, moving beyond theoretical benchmarks to create AI tools that genuinely assist human designers. You will have the autonomy to explore and implement principled approaches, leveraging a strong foundation in AI and design engineering. We foster a culture of continuous learning and encourage innovative problem-solving, providing a dynamic environment where your contributions are highly valued and directly influence the product's trajectory.
- • You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our data warehousing solutions, ensuring they are optimized for both analytical reporting and operational needs. This includes implementing data governance best practices, monitoring data pipelines for failures, and proactively addressing performance bottlenecks. Your expertise will be vital in building a data foundation that is not only scalable but also resilient and maintainable as the company grows.
- • We are seeking individuals who are passionate about building high-quality data systems and are excited by the prospect of working with cutting-edge AI and design technology. If you thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are eager to make a tangible impact, this role at Vinci4D is an exceptional opportunity to grow your career and contribute to a groundbreaking product.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data modeling principles, experience with various data processing frameworks, and a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into robust data engineering solutions. You will be a key player in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our data infrastructure, directly contributing to the success of our AI-powered design assistant.
