- • Perform detailed take-offs for commercial MEP systems, primarily focusing on plumbing and electrical components across schools, hotels, and industrial facilities.
- • Prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale commercial construction projects by analyzing construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- • Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for MEP systems to support competitive bidding processes.
- • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to confirm project scope, clarify design intent, and validate estimating assumptions.
- • Identify potential project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates to ensure financial accuracy and bid competitiveness.
- • Utilize estimating and take-off software including Plan Hub, Build Connect, Blue Beam, and Stack to conduct take-offs, generate cost breakdowns, and maintain digital documentation.
- • Maintain organized digital records of all estimates, drawings, specifications, and project-related documentation for audit and reference purposes.
- • Apply software tools to streamline estimating workflows, improve accuracy, and reduce turnaround time for bid submissions.
- • Support procurement and project planning by providing detailed cost analyses and material quantity summaries.
- • Ensure timely submission of all estimates for active project opportunities, adhering to strict deadlines set by clients and project teams.
- • Deliver estimates with minimal errors or omissions to maximize bid success rates and client trust.
- • Work within U.S. business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST) to align with client schedules and facilitate real-time collaboration with U.S.-based teams.
- • Contribute to the profitability of commercial construction projects by delivering precise, well-documented, and strategically informed estimates.
- • Participate in cross-functional discussions to provide input on project feasibility, material alternatives, and scheduling considerations based on cost data.
- • Continuously refine estimating processes using industry-standard software to enhance efficiency and consistency across multiple concurrent projects.
- • Maintain a high standard of organizational discipline in managing multiple estimating tasks with competing deadlines.
- • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders to resolve ambiguities in project scope or documentation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience as an MEP Estimator within commercial construction environments
- • Experience estimating plumbing and electrical systems for commercial projects
- • Proficiency with Plan Hub, Build Connect, Blue Beam, Stack, or similar estimating software
- • Ability to work during U.S. business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST)
- • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical systems
- • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
