📋 Description

  • Vana, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Merchant Sales Executive to join our growing team in Guatemala. This pivotal role is designed for an individual passionate about driving the adoption and usage of our payment methods within assigned retail locations. You will be instrumental in educating both store personnel and end-customers, conducting in-store activations, and ultimately ensuring the achievement of defined transaction goals for each merchant.
  • As a Merchant Sales Executive, your primary mission will be to serve as the face of Vana, Inc. at the point of sale, fostering strong relationships and demonstrating the value proposition of our payment solutions. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive training programs for sales associates, equipping them with the knowledge and enthusiasm to promote our payment methods effectively. This involves understanding the features and benefits of our services and translating them into compelling talking points for frontline staff.
  • A significant aspect of your role will involve the direct activation of physical stores. This means going beyond simple training to actively engage with the retail environment, setting up promotional materials, and ensuring that our payment solutions are prominently displayed and easily accessible to customers. You will be on the ground, making things happen and creating tangible excitement around our offerings.
  • Effective management of your assigned merchant portfolio is crucial. You will be expected to build and maintain strong working relationships with store managers and key personnel, understanding their unique business needs and challenges. By doing so, you can tailor your approach to maximize the impact of our payment solutions within their specific context. This requires a proactive and consultative approach, identifying opportunities for growth and addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • The operational execution of your responsibilities will be key to success. This includes meticulously planning and scheduling your store visits, ensuring efficient use of your time and resources. You will be responsible for the smooth implementation of promotional campaigns, ensuring all materials are in place and staff are adequately briefed. Your ability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks with precision will be highly valued.

You will be tasked with tracking and analyzing key performance indicators related to transaction volumes, merchant adoption rates, and customer engagement. Accurate and timely reporting will enable us to make informed decisions and continuously optimize our merchant engagement efforts.

🎯 Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (at least third year of study).
  • 1 to 3 years of proven experience in sales promotion, sales representation, trade marketing, or direct customer/point-of-sale engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results and meet sales targets, with a strong focus on performance.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including Microsoft Excel, the broader Office suite, and Google Workspace applications.
