- • Lead specialized contracting efforts for CareSource's Ohio market, managing complex negotiations and facilitating contract changes to ensure timely implementation of provider agreements and network adequacy.
- • Track and trend contracting inventory, priorities, and performance metrics; develop reports and PowerPoint presentations for leadership on key accomplishments, issues, and strategic initiatives.
- • Develop and evolve the team’s strategic direction, annual goals, and objectives; recommend process improvements to increase department productivity and operational efficiency.
- • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners, including provider relations, finance, and clinical teams, to align contracting strategies with organizational objectives.
- • Lead cross-functional workgroups for special priority contracts, create and manage work plans, identify and remove barriers to implementation, and ensure coordination across departments.
- • Manage day-to-day operations of direct reports, including hiring, performance management, training, staff development, and conducting regular team meetings to establish and execute project plans.
- • Participate in network provider meetings, attend key committees and workgroups as needed, and disseminate data and insights to appropriate departments to support informed decision-making.
- • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by staff, maintain accurate records of contract language changes, and uphold compliance with internal and external regulations.
- • Analyze contract data and performance metrics to inform negotiation strategies, assess provider performance, and support network management decisions.
- • Foster a collaborative workplace culture, cultivate partnerships, drive execution, influence others, pursue personal excellence, and demonstrate understanding of the managed care business model.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in healthcare or managed care
- • Experience in provider relations or contracting is required
- • Previous management experience is preferred
- • Post-acute provider experience is preferred
- • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
