- • As a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer at Motorola Solutions, you will play a critical role in supporting the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program through Lunarline, a subsidiary authorized to conduct official assessments for defense contractors. Your work directly contributes to protecting sensitive government information by ensuring contractors in the Defense Industrial Base meet required cybersecurity controls, ultimately supporting national security.
- • Day to day, you will participate in CMMC Level 1 and Level 2 assessments, gather and analyze evidence, provide met/not met inputs to lead assessors, assess cybersecurity documentation, identify and mitigate risks, apply knowledge of NIST SP 800-171/171A and 800-53/53A, interpret 32 CFR Part 170 and CMMC Assessment Process v2.0, identify vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, engage in technical and compliance discussions, demonstrate familiarity with cloud computing and FedRAMP, work independently or in teams, author reports and attestations, maintain strong organizational and detail-oriented practices, assist in administering the CMMC 3PAO environment, support other compliance assessments like NIST CSF, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, remote setting with up to 25% travel.
- • You will join Lunarline, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, operating as an independent CMMC Third-Party Assessor Organization (C3PAO). The team is mission-driven, focused on helping defense contractors achieve cybersecurity maturity to safeguard government information. Motorola Solutions fosters a close-knit, values-driven culture centered on keeping people safer through technology, innovation, and integrity.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in CMMC assessments, advance toward becoming a Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA), gain hands-on experience with federal compliance frameworks, strengthen your analytical and reporting abilities, and build credibility as a trusted cybersecurity assessor within the Defense Industrial Base.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or 4+ years of experience as a fully qualified Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) with an active certification
- • Must have an approved, unexpired Tier 3 investigation and be in good standing with the Cyber AB (no CMMC Code of Professional Conduct violations)
- • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain an active SECRET Security Clearance
