📋 Description

• Own end-to-end development of features from ticket creation through production deployment on a fintech SaaS platform supporting consumer lending workflows
• Build and maintain borrower-facing interfaces and payment processing functionality critical to loan origination, servicing, and collections
• Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs within a multi-tenant SaaS architecture using PostgreSQL 16 for data storage and querying
• Write complex SQL queries to ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability in high-volume financial transactions
• Develop and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS using services including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda to support platform scalability and uptime
• Integrate and maintain third-party services such as Twilio and payment processing systems into the core lending platform
• Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to align with cross-functional engineering teams
• Conduct thorough code reviews using Git workflows, ensuring high code quality, clear documentation, and adherence to engineering standards
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate feature delivery while maintaining strict quality and security controls
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product stakeholders in a remote-first, fast-paced environment with low bureaucracy
• Contribute to the evolution of the platform’s lending and payment infrastructure by identifying performance bottlenecks and proposing scalable solutions
• Maintain high standards for handling sensitive financial data with attention to accuracy, compliance, and system reliability
• Work within U.S. business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST) to ensure real-time collaboration with U.S.-based clients and engineering teams
• Continuously improve development velocity by adopting emerging engineering tools and AI-driven workflows without compromising code quality
• Deliver reliable, scalable software solutions across the full stack, balancing frontend user experience with backend system performance
• Document technical designs, API endpoints, and system behaviors to support knowledge sharing and onboarding within the engineering team
• Proactively identify and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system reliability
• Engage in peer learning and technical growth through collaboration on complex features spanning lending logic, payment flows, and tenant configuration

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and writing complex SQL queries
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and SaaS applications
• Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, RDS, and S3
• Experience with Git workflows and pull request review processes
• Experience in fintech, lending, or payments environments is a plus
