• We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Senior Laravel Developer, ideally with aspirations to step into a leadership capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to own product development end-to-end, working in close collaboration with our CTO. As the Lead Laravel Developer, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and continuously iterating on our core internal and customer-facing systems. Your responsibilities will span full-stack development, leveraging your expertise in Laravel, MySQL, Vue.js, and cutting-edge AI-enabled workflows. You will partner directly with the CTO to meticulously define requirements, meticulously scope features, accurately estimate delivery timelines, and develop iteratively within an agile, incremental framework. This position is designed for high autonomy, offering significant product ownership and a clear, defined growth path towards a permanent lead position as our engineering team expands.
• **Key Responsibilities - Product & Architecture:**
• Spearhead backend and full-stack development initiatives, utilizing Laravel, PHP 8, MySQL, and Vue.js as your primary technology stack.
• Architect and implement reliable, scalable, and robust business support systems, including critical CRMs and essential internal applications that drive operational efficiency.
• Take full ownership of the technical planning process, from initial solution design to the final delivery of features and applications.
• Uphold and promote the highest engineering standards, ensuring exceptional system reliability, maintainability, and superior code quality across all projects.
• **Key Responsibilities - Agile Collaboration:**
• Work in direct partnership with the CTO to translate complex product needs and business objectives into clear, actionable technical scopes and specifications.
• Proactively plan and accurately estimate features, user stories, and sprint work, ensuring predictable delivery and efficient resource allocation.
• Consistently deliver value in short, iterative release cycles, embracing agile methodologies to ensure flexibility and rapid response to evolving requirements.
• **Key Responsibilities - AI-Accelerated Engineering:**
• Actively leverage advanced AI tools and innovative workflows to significantly accelerate the development process and enhance productivity.
• Diligently identify opportunities where automation can be implemented to reduce development time, streamline repetitive tasks, and improve overall efficiency.
• Document and actively share best practices, insights, and learnings related to AI-augmented development within the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• **Additional (Preferred) Responsibilities:**
• Provide support for mobile development initiatives, particularly in React Native. Comprehensive training will be provided if this is an area for development.
• Actively participate in critical architectural decisions pertaining to APIs that will power our mobile applications, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and fellow developers when required, contributing to a cohesive and productive team environment.
• This role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in LATAM. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, aligned with Eastern Time (US) business hours. The compensation offered is $2,000 USD per month, with an additional 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) per year.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mid-Senior Laravel Developer with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end project ownership.
• Proficiency in PHP 8, Laravel, MySQL, and front-end technologies like Vue.js.
• Experience in architecting and building scalable backend systems and internal business applications (e.g., CRMs).
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a track record of working in iterative release cycles.
• Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI tools for development acceleration.
