• As a Middle DBA at Exadel, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of our database infrastructure across Production, Testing, and Development environments. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance and monitoring to complex troubleshooting, migrations, and technology transfers.
• Your primary focus will be on supporting and maintaining critical database systems, ensuring they operate seamlessly and efficiently to meet business demands. This involves proactive monitoring to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users, as well as reactive troubleshooting when problems arise.
• You will play a key role in planning, developing, and executing technical support activities, providing essential guidance and clarification to users regarding database-related requests. This includes registering, analyzing, diagnosing, and effectively handling all database-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• A significant part of your role will involve the administration and configuration of database management systems (DBMS), adhering strictly to best security practices. This encompasses managing user access, implementing security patches, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• You will be responsible for the administration and configuration of robust backup and storage solutions, ensuring that data is protected and recoverable in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. Developing and executing comprehensive backup and recovery strategies will be a core responsibility, guaranteeing business continuity.
• Performance monitoring and tuning will be a critical aspect of your daily activities. You will continuously monitor the performance, capacity, and availability of our DBMS to detect bottlenecks, optimize query performance, and ensure that databases are running at peak efficiency.
• Troubleshooting complex database issues, implementing new services, performing seamless database migrations, and managing technology transfers will require your expertise. You will be expected to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance is essential to guarantee the proper functionality and longevity of our database infrastructure. This proactive approach helps in identifying and addressing potential problems before they escalate.
• You will be tasked with ensuring that all Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements are met, including response times for incidents, escalation procedures, and timely downtime notifications. Adherence to SLAs is crucial for maintaining client satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate technical documentation for the database infrastructure is vital for sustainability and knowledge sharing. This includes documenting configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator in Production, Testing, and Development environments.
• Solid knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Experience with administration and configuration of backup and storage solutions.
• Understanding of database security requirements, backup and recovery strategies, and performance monitoring.
