- • Perform premium 1-on-1 dog bathing services including shampooing, conditioning, and thorough drying for each pet.
- • Execute advanced bathing procedures such as de-shedding treatments, paw pad trims, sanitary trims, and nail clipping.
- • Operate independently within Barkbus’s state-of-the-art Hanvey grooming vans, ensuring all equipment is used safely and effectively.
- • Maintain a manageable daily schedule of 3–6 dogs per day to ensure high-quality, stress-free grooming experiences for each pet.
- • Prioritize pet safety and comfort throughout all grooming procedures, adapting techniques to individual dog temperaments and needs.
- • Interact professionally and warmly with pet parents during drop-off and pick-up, providing clear updates on services performed.
- • Utilize provided smartphones for scheduling, communication, and documentation during daily operations.
- • Safely lift and handle dogs weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted, and maneuver dogs up to 100 lbs using van-mounted equipment such as lifts and grooming tables.
- • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment for pets and team members.
- • Participate in weekly team activities, including Community Days focused on providing low-stress grooming services to local animal shelters and rescues.
- • Receive dedicated scheduling support to align appointments with personal availability and preferred shift types.
- • Benefit from concierge and fleet teams that handle all van maintenance, logistics, and operational support, allowing full focus on grooming.
- • Engage in a groomer-first culture that celebrates creativity, professional growth, and the joy of pet care through daily team recognition and van-in-the-wild moments.
- • Complete comprehensive Launch Week training including ride-alongs to ensure readiness for independent service.
- • Pursue up to three company-paid International Professional Groomer (IPG) certifications to advance professional credentials.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ months of professional dog bathing experience
- • Experience with de-shedding treatments, paw pad and sanitary trims, and nail clipping
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- • Comfortable interacting with customers/pet parents
- • Ability to safely lift and handle dogs up to 50 lbs unassisted
- • Ability to safely guide or maneuver dogs up to 100 lbs using van equipment (e.g., lift, grooming table)
