- • Review and moderate user-generated content in accordance with Fanvue’s content and community guidelines, ensuring compliance with platform policies
- • Investigate and adjudicate Terms of Service violations including explicit content breaches, impersonation, copyright infringement (DMCA), and off-platform risks
- • Manage moderation queues using internal tooling, prioritizing cases by risk level and required turnaround time to maintain platform safety and responsiveness
- • Make timely, principled decisions on high-risk and ambiguous content cases where automated systems are insufficient, applying contextual judgment and consistency
- • Document all moderation actions clearly and accurately to support audits, compliance reviews, and user appeals, maintaining defensible decision records
- • Escalate complex, high-risk, or edge-case violations to the Moderation Manager and Head of Trust & Safety with detailed rationale and supporting evidence
- • Identify emerging trends, recurring violation patterns, and systemic risks in user behavior, and translate findings into actionable feedback for policy and tooling improvements
- • Collaborate with Customer Support and Creator Success teams to resolve escalated cases involving account restrictions, content disputes, or compliance-related concerns
- • Maintain consistent performance across assigned shifts while handling sensitive adult-only (18+) content with professionalism, empathy, and emotional resilience
- • Contribute to the refinement of moderation templates, tagging systems, decision workflows, and knowledge bases to enhance efficiency and standardization
- • Ensure all moderation activities remain aligned with evolving regulatory frameworks including the Online Safety Act and EU Digital Services Act
- • Participate in continuous feedback loops between operations and product/engineering teams to improve detection models, queue prioritization, and enforcement accuracy
- • Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion when handling personal, explicit, or legally sensitive user data and content
- • Support a culture of accountability by owning decision outcomes and maintaining high standards in documentation, timeliness, and procedural fairness
- • Adapt quickly to changes in policy, tooling, and volume demands while maintaining quality and consistency in moderation outcomes
- • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-direction and initiative in managing daily moderation responsibilities
- • Contribute to a platform integrity mission by balancing creator freedom with community safety through fair, transparent, and well-reasoned moderation
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or compliance, preferably within UGC, social media, or platform environments
- • Comfort and professional resilience in reviewing and moderating adult-only (18+) content on a consistent basis
- • Strong judgment and ability to make fast, defensible decisions on ambiguous or grey-area content cases
- • Proficiency with operational tools such as Slack, Notion, Intercom, Retool, or similar platforms
- • Clear written communication skills with high discretion and attention to detail in documentation
- • Understanding of DMCA workflows, platform Terms of Service enforcement, and regulatory frameworks like the Online Safety Act or EU Digital Services Act (valuable)
