- • As a Mortgage Loan Originator (referred to internally as a Zippy Guide), you will play a pivotal role in transforming the manufactured home financing experience by guiding homebuyers through a fully digital, transparent, and efficient loan process, directly contributing to Zippy’s mission of making homeownership more accessible and affordable for millions of Americans.
- • You will originate consumer loans by taking applications, setting clear process expectations, preparing loan files for handoff, and managing risk as the frontline decision-maker, ensuring compliance and quality while delivering exceptional consumer outcomes in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with applicants and partners via phone, email, and text; sharing best practices and feedback with engineering teams to improve technology; optimizing internal processes for efficiency and risk management; and actively contributing to a collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation in manufactured housing finance.
- • You will work within a remote-first, growing team spread across multiple states, supported by institutional investors, where your insights directly influence product development and process enhancements, allowing you to shape the future of affordable home lending through technology and consumer advocacy.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in manufactured home lending, strengthen your consultative sales and risk assessment skills, gain experience in tech-enabled financial services, and have the opportunity to grow into leadership positions as Zippy scales, all while making a tangible impact on housing affordability and financial wellness for underserved communities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in mortgage or equity sales
- • Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator in relevant states (or willingness to obtain)
- • Strong communication skills – excellent written, oral, and interpersonal abilities
- • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools
- • Self-starter capable of working proactively and independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- • Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant work experience
