  • • As a Mortgage Underwriter at Neo Financial Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial futures of Canadians by meticulously reviewing and underwriting mortgage loan applications. This position is central to Neo's mission of providing accessible and rewarding financial products, contributing directly to our rapid growth and market leadership in the Canadian fintech landscape.
  • • You will be entrusted with the responsibility of evaluating complex and high-value mortgage applications, including those that present unique borrower profiles or involve non-standard property types. Your expertise will ensure that Neo continues to offer innovative and competitive financing solutions.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve managing the mortgage lifecycle from initial application through to successful funding. You will collaborate closely with Mortgage Funding Officers (MFOs) and other internal teams to streamline processes and ensure timely execution.

Your ability to articulate the mortgage process, set clear expectations, and detail required documentation will be crucial for fostering strong relationships and ensuring a smooth experience for all stakeholders.
  • • Proactive engagement with the Sales team, MFOs, Coordinators, and external brokers is essential. You will provide regular and accurate status updates on active mortgage files, ensuring transparency and efficient workflow management.

  • • By successfully underwriting deals and facilitating the mortgage process, you will directly contribute to Neo's ability to deliver a comprehensive suite of financing products, underpinned by an exceptional customer experience.
  • • The fast-paced, high-growth environment at Neo offers constant opportunities for professional development and career advancement. Your contributions will be recognized and valued as you help Neo scale and innovate.
  • • You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about growth and excellence, consistently striving to deliver the highest quality results. Your dedication to client service and your ability to navigate the complexities of a startup will be key to your success.
  • • The role requires meticulous attention to detail, superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and exceptional organizational and time management capabilities to handle a demanding workload effectively.
  • • While the role is primarily in-office in Calgary, AB, Neo offers flexibility and may consider remote candidates not located near an office, demonstrating a commitment to attracting top talent across Canada.
  • • You may be required to work outside of traditional Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm MST hours on an as-needed basis, reflecting the dynamic nature of the fintech industry and Neo's commitment to meeting customer needs.
  • • This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in challenging environments, are driven by results, and are eager to contribute to a company that is revolutionizing the financial services sector.
