- • As a Mortgage Underwriter, your primary responsibility will be to meticulously review loan files, including borrower credit, income, assets, and property valuations, to determine loan eligibility and risk. You will analyze complex financial information, identify potential red flags, and make informed decisions that balance risk mitigation with business objectives.

You will provide clear and concise explanations for underwriting decisions, offer guidance on loan file deficiencies, and collaborate to find solutions that enable loan closings while adhering to risk parameters.
- • You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with mortgage loans. This includes evaluating appraisal reports, title work, and other property-related documentation to ensure the collateral securing the loan is sound and meets all requirements.

- • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and procedures. By identifying areas for enhancement and providing feedback, you will help optimize efficiency and effectiveness within the team and for our clients.
- • This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of loan products and borrower profiles, providing a stimulating and challenging environment for a seasoned underwriter. Your expertise will be highly valued as you contribute to the growth and success of The Symicor Group and its partners.

- • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments under pressure. You should be adept at interpreting complex financial data and making decisions that are both commercially viable and compliant.
- • This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients. You should be comfortable explaining technical underwriting concepts to a non-technical audience.
- • You will be expected to maintain a high level of productivity while ensuring the quality and accuracy of your work. Time management and organizational skills are essential for managing multiple loan files simultaneously.
- • The Mortgage Underwriter will be a trusted advisor, providing insights and guidance on loan scenarios that may present unique challenges. Your ability to navigate complex situations and offer practical solutions will be highly appreciated.
- • This role is ideal for an individual who is proactive, self-motivated, and committed to professional development. You should be eager to learn and adapt to the evolving landscape of the mortgage industry.
- • Ultimately, your work as a Mortgage Underwriter will directly impact the ability of individuals and families to achieve their homeownership dreams. You will be a critical gatekeeper, ensuring that loans are originated responsibly and sustainably.

Your dedication to thoroughness and accuracy will reinforce our commitment to providing the very best in talent acquisition and placement services.
- • You will be empowered to make independent decisions within established guidelines, demonstrating your expertise and contributing to the overall success of the underwriting function.
