📋 Description

• Own the full development lifecycle for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extensions at Sparkrock, a 100 % remote company whose SaaS ERP platform is used daily by 45,000+ people in nonprofits, school boards, and government agencies to make the world a better place.
• Spend 80 %+ of your week doing what you love—designing, coding, and testing AL-based solutions—while we strip away status meetings, excessive documentation, and other non-essential overhead.
• Stay on the cutting edge by continuously evaluating new Business Central releases, AL platform improvements, and Microsoft roadmap items; translate these insights into practical enhancements that keep our customers ahead of the curve.
• Dive deep into complex data and performance issues, root-cause elusive bugs, and craft elegant fixes that raise the bar for quality across our entire product suite.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a globally distributed team across Argentina, Brazil, Pakistan, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, and India, using modern DevOps practices to ship secure, scalable, and maintainable code every sprint.
• Become the go-to subject-matter expert for at least one major product area—whether finance, HR, payroll, or donor management—by pairing with product managers and customer success to understand real-world pain points and turn them into delightful features.
• Write robust automated test suites (unit, integration, UI) that run in our CI/CD pipeline, ensuring every release meets the reliability standards expected by mission-driven organizations that cannot afford downtime.
• Receive continuous coaching and structured learning paths—from senior architects and Microsoft MVPs—to accelerate your growth from strong developer to recognized Business Central authority.
• Contribute to internal guilds and knowledge-sharing sessions, presenting lightning talks on AL best practices, performance tuning, or security patterns that lift the entire engineering organization.
• Champion accessibility, localization, and inclusive design so our products serve diverse communities fairly and effectively.
• Participate in customer feedback loops, joining occasional calls with school district CFOs or nonprofit directors to hear firsthand how your code impacts their ability to serve students and communities.
• Help refine our technical roadmap by estimating effort, flagging risks, and proposing innovative solutions that balance customer value with engineering excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• 4 + years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development using AL and the modern extension model
• 5 + years building enterprise-grade ERP solutions (finance, HR, payroll, or supply-chain modules)
• Proven experience writing automated tests for Business Central (Test Toolkit, AL Test Runner, or equivalent)
• Quality-first mindset with meticulous attention to detail and a habit of leaving code better than you found it
• Strong written and spoken English for async collaboration with global teammates and occasional customer interactions
• Nice to have: DevOps experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field
