Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full-cycle growth strategy for Avela’s public-sector business across cities, counties, and states—translating complex early-childhood and family-support programs into revenue that directly improves the lives of millions of American families.
- • Build and manage a multi-million-dollar pipeline from scratch: identify high-value municipalities, craft tailored outreach sequences, run data-driven field events, and partner with marketing to create white-papers, webinars, and case studies that position Avela as the indispensable “one-stop shop” for coordinated early-childhood initiatives.
- • Serve as the primary relationship owner for mayors’ offices, county executives, state agencies, and school-district leaders—translating policy goals into concrete technology solutions, running discovery workshops, and mapping decision-making units so every stakeholder sees clear ROI.
- • Design and execute quarterly territory plans that balance net-new logo acquisition with strategic upsell/cross-sell into existing accounts, using Salesforce and HubSpot to forecast revenue within 5 % accuracy and surface expansion opportunities 6–12 months ahead of RFP release.
- • Lead consultative sales cycles averaging 6–9 months and $250k–$2 M in contract value—navigating procurement, compliance, and security reviews while orchestrating legal, finance, product, and implementation teams to deliver airtight proposals that win on value, not price.
- • Produce compelling business cases and ROI models rooted in federal funding streams (ARPA, ESSER, CCDBG, PDG) so finance directors and budget officers can unlock grants and braided funding to pay for Avela’s platform without tapping general-fund dollars.
- • Stage quarterly “policy-to-platform” road-shows—half-day workshops in target metros where you co-present with early-childhood directors, Head Start grantees, and community-based providers to showcase how Avela’s community hub reduces waitlists, closes equity gaps, and meets federal reporting mandates.
- • Collaborate with product and engineering to translate municipal feedback into roadmap priorities—e.g., multilingual family portals, integrated eligibility engines, or dashboards aligned with NACo performance metrics—then run beta pilots that turn early adopters into referenceable champions.
- • Mentor junior BDRs and SDRs on value-based messaging, MEDDPICC qualification, and public-sector buying processes, building a bench of talent that can replicate your success in adjacent territories.
- • Track emerging legislation (Build Back Better, Universal Pre-K proposals, Child Care Stabilization Act) and brief leadership on strategic implications—turning policy tailwinds into competitive advantage and ensuring Avela is always one step ahead of the next funding wave.
- • Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets of $3–$5 M while maintaining a 4:1 LTV:CAC ratio and 90 %+ logo retention, proving that mission-driven growth and profitability can coexist at scale.
