📋 Description
- • Serve as the National Account Manager responsible for developing and leading the overall sales and marketing strategy for a top mechanical, electrical, and plumbing wholesale distributor in New England.
- • Own the complete sales cycle including listing presentations, execution, forecasting, POS review, and promotional planning for assigned national accounts.
- • Drive new product listings across all strategic business units: Power Tools, Accessories, Hand Tools, Anchors, and Storage, with coordinated national promotional rollouts.
- • Negotiate and manage annual customer SBA/VBA agreements to secure favorable terms and market positioning.
- • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key personnel at assigned national accounts through regular planning and communication.
- • Collaborate with field account managers to understand regional and local customer needs and align national strategies accordingly.
- • Provide ongoing support to field teams to enable growth, address challenges, and execute promotional initiatives effectively.
- • Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews with customers to ensure achievement of sales growth targets and performance metrics.
- • Deliver product training and safety seminars to end-users to enhance product adoption and brand loyalty.
- • Partner with SBD Sales and Marketing Teams to design and execute field programs, events, and campaigns that drive sales and educate end users.
- • Support Product Managers in determining optimal promotion strategies and timing for new product launches.
- • Develop event-specific promotions, flyers, and marketing materials aligned with customers’ national event schedules.
- • Coordinate with the Product NAM Team to implement targeted account initiatives and ensure consistent execution across channels.
- • Execute field support plans in collaboration with the Commercial field team to maximize market penetration and account growth.
- • Work directly with SBD Account Managers to drive market share gains and revenue growth with assigned national accounts.
- • Manage marketing, promotional, and travel & expense (T&E) budgets with full ownership of the annual Operating Plan (OP) building process.
- • Monitor and report on competitive activity within the national account space to inform strategic decision-making.
- • Travel up to 60% nationally to support customer engagements, field teams, and promotional events.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field
- • 8+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing focused on the Construction and Industrial channels
- • Proven experience in sales management and key account management
- • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- • Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills
