📋 Description
- • Implement moderate to large-scale laboratory automation systems within diagnostic laboratories, following established processes and procedures, with a focus on creating reference-level customer environments.
- • Provide expert-level technical guidance to field service teams on software and applications related to diagnostic laboratory automation systems, operating with limited supervision.
- • Serve as a technical expert in communicating complex automation concepts to both internal stakeholders and external customers, including Field Applications and Hardware Specialists.
- • Deliver advanced troubleshooting for automation workflows and system integrations, both on-site and via remote phone support, resolving issues impacting diagnostic laboratory operations.
- • Facilitate and direct work activities of cross-functional teams during automation system implementations, ensuring alignment between project management, field service, and customer needs.
- • Mentor and train customers and front-line support personnel on system operations, best practices, and workflow optimization to enhance long-term system adoption and performance.
- • Partner with Field Specialists and peers remotely or in-person to execute implementation plans, ensuring seamless integration of automation systems across diverse clinical, reference, and research laboratories.
- • Support the National Service Support Team covering the United States, reporting to the Automation NSS Supervisor/Manager responsible for complex automation deployments.
- • Maintain a home-based office located within one hour of a major U.S. metropolitan airport to support rapid deployment and travel readiness.
- • Conduct up to 80% travel, including overnight stays and short-notice trips, primarily within the U.S. but occasionally internationally, to support on-site customer implementations and system validations.
- • Utilize strong computer skills and network/LIS communication knowledge to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize laboratory automation system interfaces and data exchanges.
- • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Danaher Business System to enhance automation processes, system reliability, and customer outcomes.
- • Act as a key liaison between customers and internal departments to influence and gain agreement on optimal workflows, ensuring customer satisfaction and system effectiveness.
- • Maintain physical ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, or place up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms during on-site installations and equipment handling.
