- • Lead the strategic development and execution of impactful national initiative month campaigns, such as National Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Foster Care Month, for the Child Welfare Information Gateway, a vital service of the Children’s Bureau (CB) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
- • Serve as the central orchestrator, guiding matrixed teams to successfully deliver multiple complex national campaigns simultaneously, ensuring alignment with federal partner objectives and the needs of child welfare professionals nationwide.
- • Provide comprehensive project management support from initiation to completion, meticulously defining project scopes, developing detailed project plans, and establishing clear timelines and milestones.
- • Manage all aspects of task coordination, including the creation of comprehensive project plans, the development and oversight of budgets, and the scheduling of internal team activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of campaign assets.
- • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, including design, editorial, and digital specialists, as well as external federal partners, to foster a cohesive and productive working environment.
- • Ensure all developed content is compelling, accessible, and fully compliant with Section 508 accessibility standards, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and broad reach.
- • Oversee campaign calendars, maintain meticulous documentation, and manage approval workflows to guarantee that all deliverables are produced and disseminated according to schedule.
- • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and roadblocks, including potential scope creep and quality concerns, by communicating early and transparently with internal teams and project leadership.
- • Act as the primary point of contact for all campaign-related communications, providing regular updates, facilitating discussions, and ensuring clear information flow among all stakeholders.
- • Leverage innovative tools, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced project management software, to enhance the efficiency of deliverable development, streamline communication processes, and optimize overall campaign execution.
- • Facilitate productive team meetings, including kick-off sessions, regular check-ins, and comprehensive debrief sessions, to foster collaboration, track progress, and capture lessons learned.
- • Support the rigorous tracking of campaign performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contributing valuable insights to post-campaign evaluations and comprehensive reporting.
- • Drive the creation of engaging and informative communications tailored to child welfare professionals, adoption and foster care specialists, and the general public, enhancing the reach and impact of the Child Welfare Information Gateway.
- • Apply a deep understanding of project management principles to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions, ensuring the smooth progression of all campaign activities.
- • Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion, exercising sound judgment in decision-making and communication, particularly when interacting with federal partners and sensitive information.
- • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in post-campaign analysis and recommending innovative approaches to enhance future initiatives.
