- • Design, deploy, and tune Layer 2/3 networks using Cisco, Meraki, Dell, and Palo Alto equipment across data-center, lab, and office environments.
- • Maintain high-capacity network links ranging from 10 GbE to 100 GbE with routing protocols including BGP and OSPF to ensure strict latency and uptime targets.
- • Implement and manage firewall policies to secure network infrastructure and meet compliance and performance requirements.
- • Automate repetitive network tasks using Ansible, Python, or Terraform to create reproducible playbooks and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
- • Serve as first-responder for P1/P2 network incidents, conducting tri-level troubleshooting across physical, logical, and cloud-edge layers.
- • Rotate on a 24×7 on-call schedule to ensure continuous network availability and rapid incident resolution.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation including diagrams, runbooks, and change records for cross-team accessibility.
- • Collaborate with InfoSec teams to harden network configurations, manage certificates and cryptographic keys, and remediate vulnerabilities through switch and appliance upgrades.
- • Differentiate between copper cables and fiber optic cables, including their respective connector types and use cases.
- • Support cloud network integration with AWS, Azure, or GCP services including VPC, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and Transit Gateway (TGW).
- • Proactively identify network performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to support scalable infrastructure growth.
- • Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of network operations through documentation, knowledge sharing, and process refinement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2-3 years of enterprise or data center networking experience with Cisco, Meraki, Dell, and Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco WLCs
- • Deep expertise in Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols including Ethernet, VLAN, STP, BGP, and OSPF, as well as VPN and firewall configurations
- • Proficiency in automation tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform
- • Experience with cloud networking services on AWS, Azure, or GCP (VPC, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, TGW)
- • Strong self-starter attitude with clear communication skills and a proven track record in documentation and runbook creation
- • Bonus: CCNA, CCNP, or PCNSE certifications
