📋 Description

• Conduct video-based pre-assessment consultations with prospective patients seeking cannabis-based medical treatment as the first clinical point of contact at Montu UK Limited.
• Gather comprehensive medical histories during consultations, including current medications, past treatments, relevant family medical history, and comorbidities.
• Assess patient suitability for referral to Montu’s clinical consultants based on clinical criteria and national guidance, without prescribing or delivering treatment.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant patient records using electronic medical records (EMRs) in alignment with GDPR and clinical governance standards.
• Guide patients through the onboarding process with clarity, addressing clinical questions appropriately while setting realistic expectations about next steps.
• Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns, contraindications, or clinical red flags according to Montu policy and UK regulatory frameworks.
• Work autonomously in a fully remote, tech-enabled environment using video conferencing platforms and digital health systems.
• Manage a fast-moving caseload of patients who have typically exhausted conventional treatment options before seeking care through Montu.
• Ensure consistent, empathetic, and professional communication with patients, balancing clinical rigor with compassionate patient support.
• Adhere strictly to clinical protocols, confidentiality requirements, and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
• Work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including one Saturday per month for which a day in lieu will be provided.
• Operate effectively within a growing, mission-driven team focused on transforming patient access to cannabis-based medicinal treatments.
• Collaborate remotely with clinical and operational teams to ensure seamless patient pathway progression while upholding quality and compliance.
• Stay current with evolving guidelines related to cannabis-based medicinal products and telehealth best practices in the UK healthcare landscape.
• Demonstrate strong clinical reasoning in complex cases involving polypharmacy, chronic conditions, or prior treatment failures.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve patient experience and clinical workflows while maintaining adherence to internal policies and regulatory boundaries.

🎯 Requirements

• NMC-registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years post-registration clinical experience
• UK-based nursing degree or equivalent qualification
• Confident autonomous decision-maker with strong clinical reasoning
• Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, tech-enabled environment including video platforms and EMRs
• Sound understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and clinical governance
