  • • As a key member of our sales team, you will be instrumental in cultivating and expanding our presence in the K-12 market. Your primary responsibility will be to engage directly with school districts, conducting in-depth sales consultations with principals, curriculum directors, superintendents, and other key decision-makers. You will be tasked with understanding their unique educational challenges and demonstrating how Cengage's comprehensive portfolio, including offerings from National Geographic Learning and Big Ideas Learning, can provide effective and engaging solutions.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves developing and executing strategic territory management plans. This requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and consistently meeting or exceeding ambitious annual sales goals. You will be expected to drive new business acquisition, fostering growth and expanding Cengage's market share within your assigned territory.
  • • Success in this role hinges on your ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of our educational products. This includes conducting compelling product demonstrations, articulating the benefits of our digital platforms and integrated learning solutions, and tailoring presentations to meet the specific needs of diverse educational institutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding educators through the selection and implementation of resources that enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • • Accurate forecasting and diligent sales activity tracking are crucial. You will leverage company sales tools and CRM systems to maintain a clear pipeline, provide timely updates, and contribute to overall sales strategy. This data-driven approach ensures efficient territory management and allows for informed decision-making to optimize sales performance.
  • • Beyond direct sales activities, you will represent Cengage at industry events, conferences, and group presentations.
