- • As an Ojibway-English Phone Interpreter, you will provide real-time interpretation services to bridge language and cultural barriers for limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing across critical sectors including healthcare, emergency services, government, and business.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to interpreting sessions, rendering accurate meaning between Ojibway and English, maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity, and handling emotionally charged or high-stress calls such as 911 emergencies or end-of-life discussions.
- • You will join LanguageLine Solutions, a certified Great Place to Work and top-ranked remote employer, operating in an ASTM and ISO-certified environment with support from Senior Language Specialists and dedicated technology help desks.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Ojibway and English with understanding of cultural dynamics
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive conversations
- • High school diploma or equivalent and legally authorized to work in Canada
- • Access to a quiet workspace, dedicated device (Windows/MacOS/ChromeOS laptop, tablet, or smartphone), and high-speed internet (5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload)
- • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check and/or drug screen if required
