Your primary mission is to foster a thriving community of developers who not only use Okta's products but become enthusiastic champions for our brand and technology. This role is pivotal in transforming developers into advocates by ensuring their success and amplifying their positive experiences with Okta.
  • • You will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing strong relationships with developers who are currently integrating Okta into their workflows or are in the early stages of adoption. This involves actively engaging with them, understanding their challenges, and providing the support and resources they need to succeed.
  • • Beyond existing Okta users, you will also play a key role in building connections with emerging developer segments, including AI builders and enterprise integrators. By understanding their unique needs and how Okta can empower their projects, you will expand Okta's reach and influence within these critical areas of technology development.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will be to conceptualize, build, and manage a robust champions program. This involves identifying influential individuals within the existing Okta customer base and the broader identity and access management space. You will cultivate these relationships, empowering them to become vocal proponents of Okta.
  • • You will work in close collaboration with the broader Developer Advocacy team, ensuring a cohesive and impactful strategy. This partnership is crucial for aligning community efforts with overall developer success initiatives and for gathering comprehensive feedback.
  • • A core responsibility is to actively engage with developer communities across various online platforms, including forums, social media networks, and developer-specific channels. Your goal is to enhance developer affinity towards Okta and its comprehensive suite of products and services.
  • • You will be responsible for creating and executing a dynamic social media strategy tailored to engage developers. This includes identifying the most effective platforms, crafting compelling content, and fostering meaningful interactions that build brand loyalty and drive adoption.
  • • A critical function of this role is to act as a conduit for developer feedback. You will meticulously capture insights, pain points, and suggestions from the community and ensure they are effectively communicated to the Developer Advocacy team and the relevant product development teams. This feedback loop is essential for continuous product improvement and innovation.
  • • You will provide essential support to the Developer Advocacy team in their community engagement efforts. This may involve assisting with events, webinars, content creation, and other initiatives designed to connect with and support developers.
  • • Demonstrating the impact and effectiveness of your community management efforts is paramount. You will be tasked with providing detailed, data-driven reports that highlight key metrics, successes, and areas for growth, showcasing the value you bring to Okta.
  • • You will proactively identify key influencers and potential champions within the developer community, both among current Okta users and within the broader identity space. By nurturing these relationships, you will build a network of advocates who can organically promote Okta's value proposition.
  • • Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to the success of developers building with Okta, ensuring they have the knowledge, support, and community resources needed to leverage our platform effectively and achieve their goals.
