Oncology Health-Outcomes Liaison

📋 Description

• • Serve as the primary medical and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) interface between Eli Lilly and U.S. population-based decision makers (PBDMs), including payers, health systems, research institutions, and policy makers.
• • Independently cultivate and manage relationships with PBDMs, acting as the key point of contact and collaborating with field-based medical and commercial teams to ensure a cohesive stakeholder engagement strategy.
• • Deliver clinical evidence, real-world evidence (RWE), and HEOR data—including observational research, comparative effectiveness, and pharmacoeconomic analyses—to support formulary access, clinical pathways, and guideline decisions impacting millions of patients.
• • Synthesize, translate, and communicate complex scientific and value-based data into transparent, objective, and actionable insights tailored to the strategic needs of PBDMs.
• • Proactively anticipate and address evidence gaps and stakeholder needs by leveraging emerging trends in healthcare policy, therapeutic landscapes, and real-world data analytics.
• • Develop and execute medical and value strategies in alignment with internal and field-based partners to enhance customer experience and drive patient outcomes across the oncology portfolio.
• • Support the development of account-specific engagement plans by providing scientific and value-based input on HEOR topics and evidence generation priorities.
• • Identify and foster innovative collaborations with health systems, payers, and PBDMs to co-create evidence through research partnerships, value-based arrangements (VBAs), and real-world data initiatives.
• • Maintain deep expertise in oncology therapeutic areas, pharmacoeconomics, health outcomes, formulary management, value assessment frameworks, quality measures, and U.S. healthcare policy.
• • Stay current on emerging science, regulatory actions, and environmental trends affecting population-based decision-making in the U.S. healthcare system.
• • Serve as a trusted scientific resource for both external stakeholders and internal teams, translating complex clinical and HEOR findings into clear, concise communication for diverse audiences.
• • Utilize field-based electronic and communication tools to manage all aspects of the role, including remote engagement and data reporting.
• • Travel extensively (50%+) across the Western U.S. (CA, OR, WA, AZ, UT, CO) to engage with PBDMs in person and support field-based activities.
• • Operate with medical independence, ensuring all activities comply with company procedures and are free from commercial influence.
• • Provide internal insights on customer needs, evidence gaps, and market trends to influence the HEOR research agenda and asset strategy across the oncology portfolio.
• • Apply expertise in HEOR methodologies including AMCP Dossiers, FDAMA 114, and pharmacoeconomic modeling to support evidence generation and communication.
• • Demonstrate strong self-management skills in prioritizing and executing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
