• • As an OpenShift Virtualization and Infrastructure Architect at Red Hat Consulting, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge container platforms and cloud-ready application architectures for a diverse range of enterprise clients.
• • You will lead discovery, analysis, and design workshops, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand their unique challenges and translate them into robust architectural solutions.
• • Your role will involve scoping and guiding customers through successful pilot and production deployments of Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• • You will be instrumental in designing, creating, and delivering content that empowers Red Hat's sales, consulting, and support teams to effectively deliver and manage cloud solutions at scale.
• • A core responsibility will be the implementation of automated, containerized cloud application platforms, with a strong emphasis on critical infrastructure components such as networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and ensuring high availability and system resilience.
• • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of Red Hat's services by developing repeatable methodologies and tools that enhance scalability, promote consistent customer engagements, and mitigate delivery risks.
• • This position demands a proactive and agile approach to learning new technologies rapidly, including container orchestration, container registries, advanced container build strategies, cloud storage solutions, and software-defined networking.
• • You will have the opportunity to travel frequently, approximately 30-40 weeks per year, to collaborate directly with leading organizations in the financial services, retail, telecommunications, and other institutional sectors.
• • Your expertise will be crucial in helping customers modernize their IT infrastructure, adopt cloud-native practices, and leverage the full potential of Red Hat's open source solutions.
• • You will act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance to senior IT and business executives, and presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
• • The role involves working within agile and scrum methodologies, embracing DevOps principles to foster collaboration and accelerate delivery cycles.
• • You will gain deep practical experience with Red Hat's product portfolio, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Ansible, and potentially explore applications in Artificial Intelligence.
• • A significant part of your journey will involve an intensive training program focused on Kubernetes, OpenShift technologies, and related DevOps and GitOps topics, enabling you to become a subject matter expert.
• • Within your first few months, you will develop a strong understanding of building production-ready container and virtualization platforms, integrated with existing enterprise systems, and learn to deploy source code into scalable containers and virtual machines in an automated fashion.
• • By the six-month mark, you will be ready to implement routine container platform projects, successfully delivering customer requirements using Red Hat OpenShift and understanding how customer use cases translate into project plans aligned with Red Hat's technologies.
• • Within a year, you will begin to demonstrate technical leadership by successfully implementing complex, large-scale container platform solutions in challenging customer environments, assisting other consultants, and contributing valuable insights and best practices to internal and external communities.
