• • As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Monzo's rapid growth is managed effectively and responsibly, maintaining a strong control environment while upholding our agile ethos.
• • This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced financial technology environment, working within a dedicated Operational Risk team led by our Director and reporting to a Senior Operational Risk Manager.
• • You will be instrumental in executing oversight of Monzo's robust Operational Risk Management Framework, providing critical support to Managers and Senior Managers with a variety of ad hoc tasks and strategic initiatives.
• • A core responsibility will be to provide second-line oversight of operational risk activities, meticulously monitoring issues, actions, and controls in strict adherence to established Operational Risk Procedures.
• • Leverage your analytical prowess to scrutinize operational risk data, including incidents, external regulatory changes, and risk event scanning, to derive actionable insights and proactively identify emerging trends and potential risks.
• • Apply strong data analysis skills to maintain and update risk data within Google Sheets and Looker, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of information that underpins the team's oversight of operational risk.
• • Actively support the implementation and ongoing operation of Monzo’s risk management framework, embedding effective oversight and monitoring mechanisms across the business.
• • Collaborate with and support managers in conducting in-depth assurance and change reviews across various business areas, utilizing data collection, rigorous analysis, and the creation of clear, concise, and well-written reports.
• • Proactively monitor various operational risk channels, ensuring that guidance and support are readily available to other business units and that material risks are escalated promptly and appropriately to relevant forums.
• • Assist our Operational Risk Managers in the successful execution of key projects that have a significant impact across the entire organization, contributing to strategic risk management objectives.
• • Drive the efficient management of team actions, meeting agendas, and documentation, while also coordinating team events to foster collaboration and a strong team dynamic.
