Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • The Operations Associate at CV Labs serves as the human judgment layer between AI technology and clients, ensuring client files move through the immigration pipeline with speed, precision, and care by reviewing system flags, guiding clients, and resolving edge cases.
- • Day to day, the role involves reviewing AI-preprocessed client files via a purpose-built dashboard, responding to client inquiries within one day via in-platform messaging, managing a high-volume caseload across eligibility to submission stages, escalating complex legal questions to attorneys with proper context, identifying repetitive tasks for automation, and tracking applications through to government decision and approval.
- • CV Labs is the product and growth studio inside CanadaVisa, Canada's immigration engine, serving 1.5 million monthly visitors, powering a 1M-member immigration community, processing thousands of cases yearly, and guiding 180,000+ registered users. Backed by 30 years of infrastructure and a dominant market position, the team builds AI-native legal solutions with startup agility and institutional scale.
- • In this role, you will develop sharp operational instincts in a high-growth, AI-driven legal tech environment, learn to spot automation opportunities, gain experience in client-facing process management within a regulated industry, and grow alongside leadership with direct access to the Chief Growth Officer as the company scales its immigration platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1–3 years of experience in operations, client services, or process-intensive roles, with backgrounds at high-growth companies like Stripe, Deel, or Shopify being advantageous but not required.
- • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to catch discrepancies such as name variations, date inconsistencies, or incorrect checkboxes across documents.
- • Strong written communication skills, capable of explaining complex immigration processes in warm, clear, and plain language to clients via messaging systems.
- • Systems thinking mindset — when solving a problem repeatedly, you question why it isn’t automated and think in terms of workflows, bottlenecks, and repeatable processes.
- • Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude, with curiosity about how AI transforms work and excitement about collaborating with AI daily.
- • French proficiency is considered a plus due to occasional French-language client documents.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary range of $75,000 – $100,000 CAD.
- • Flexible vacation policy — take what you need, with focus on output rather than hours at desk.
- • Competitive health, dental, and wellness coverage.
- • Direct reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, ensuring access to leadership and growth opportunities.
- • Opportunity to work on tangible, real-world impact with real clients, real files, and real outcomes in an AI-native legal practice at scale.
