- • As an Operations Coordinator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our daily operations. Your responsibilities will span across critical areas, from monitoring performance to driving process improvements and leading a dedicated team. You will be at the forefront of operational excellence, contributing directly to Careem's mission of simplifying lives.
- • Key responsibilities include:
- • Support Operational Performance: You will be tasked with diligently monitoring and analyzing key operational metrics. This includes tracking order fulfilment rates, ensuring optimal stock availability, maintaining high levels of picking accuracy, and upholding stringent quality standards. Your insights will be crucial in identifying trends and areas for immediate attention and improvement.
- • Drive Process Improvement and SOP Development: A core aspect of your role will involve identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks within our operational processes. You will be responsible for developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflows, enhance consistency, and ensure best practices are implemented across the board. This proactive approach to process optimization is vital for our continuous growth.
- • Strategic Capacity Planning: You will play a key role in capacity planning, meticulously analyzing demand patterns to forecast operational needs. This involves strategically planning shift structures and allocating manpower effectively to meet service level agreements and ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak periods.
- • Lead and Nurture the Operations Team: You will supervise and guide the operations team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and highly productive work environment. Your leadership will be essential in motivating the team, setting clear expectations, and ensuring high performance and engagement.
- • Conduct Training and Performance Evaluations: You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive training sessions for the operations team, focusing on SOPs, new processes, and best practices. Furthermore, you will perform spot checks and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to standards and identify individual development needs.
- • Maintain Quality and Accuracy Standards: Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our operational data is paramount. You will be responsible for ensuring that product catalogs are consistently updated with correct details, pricing, and real-time availability information, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- • Foster Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: You will work in close partnership with various internal departments, including logistics, commercial teams, and customer support. This collaborative effort is essential for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, proactively addressing challenges, and implementing integrated solutions.
- • Lead the Hiring Process for the Ops Team: Taking ownership of the recruitment process for the operations team, you will conduct interviews and manage the end-to-end hiring cycle. Your ability to identify and attract top talent will be critical in building a strong and capable operations workforce.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of operational metrics and processes.
- • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- • Proficiency in using operational tools, including Excel/Google Sheets, and experience with internal dashboards or CRM systems. SQL knowledge is a significant advantage.
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
