Full Job Description

šŸ“‹ Description

  • • As an Operations Coordinator at Alan, you will play a critical role in delivering seamless insurance and health services across France, Belgium, and Spain by running and optimizing core operational processes such as claims reimbursement, fraud detection, therapy coordination, and customer onboarding, directly contributing to Alan’s mission of making prevention the new norm of care and helping members live in good health to 100.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating insurance and health service processes (e.g., invoicing, claims treatment, provider network management), monitoring daily operations against SLAs and efficiency metrics, flagging risks and opportunities for improvement, supervising external partnerships (such as teleconsultation and claim operators), performing quality controls on decisions made, escalating feedback to drive process enhancements, and supporting internal teams through live assistance and documentation—ensuring delight, accuracy, and continuity in service delivery.
  • • You will also dedicate time to implementing continuous improvements, including collaborating with product teams to automate workflows, auditing existing processes, enhancing external communication, and using automation tools to streamline steps—allowing you to actively shape how Alan scales its operations across multiple countries while maintaining high standards of quality and member satisfaction.
  • • Alan’s Operations Community consists of over 50+ dedicated Ops Runners organized into small, cross-functional pools (3–7 people) each owning a specific service scope—such as Alan Therapy, Claims, Fraud, or Customer Set Up—where you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Care, and other teams, benefiting from a culture of radical transparency, distributed ownership, and continuous learning through coaching and feedback.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in end-to-end operational execution within a fast-growing, mission-driven health tech company, gaining hands-on experience in process design, data-informed monitoring, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement—positioning you to grow into broader operational leadership roles or specialize in high-impact areas like fraud prevention, healthcare logistics, or member experience optimization.

šŸŽÆ Requirements

  • • Proven experience operating processes and services, particularly in scale-up environments, industrial/logistics settings, or support functions such as Customer Support, People Operations, or account management.
  • • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dive into data to monitor volumes, efficiency, SLAs, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • • Exceptional organizational and follow-up abilities with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tasks like invoicing, claims treatment, and provider network management.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, plus fluency in either French or Dutch, enabling clear coordination with internal teams, external partners, and members across multiple countries.
  • • Demonstrated adaptability and a proactive, problem-solving mindset—comfortable getting hands-on with technical processes, learning independently in a fast-paced environment, and thriving amid changing priorities and scopes.
  • • Prior experience in the insurance or healthcare industry is a strong plus, though not required, as Alan values diverse backgrounds and a passion for delivering top-notch, member-centric operations.

šŸ–ļø Benefits

  • • Fair rewards including generous equity packages (for permanent contracts) that complement base salary, aligning your success with Alan’s long-term mission.
  • • Flexible working arrangements: choose between office work at Alan’s HQ, sponsored co-working hubs, or full remote with home office equipment support (MacBook Pro, monitor, keyboard, stand, and Bose noise-canceling headphones provided).
  • • Comprehensive health insurance coverage—100% for you and your children, 90–100% for partners depending on country—along with transport benefits, flexible vacation and hours, and extended parental leave for permanent staff.
  • • Access to continuous learning and development: free books, conference attendance/speaking budgets, and a core coaching culture where every Alaner is paired with a dedicated coach from day one to support personal growth, engagement, and values alignment.
  • • A mission-driven, transparent, and ownership-focused workplace where you can make real impact, collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Care teams, and grow through radical feedback and distributed ownership—without visa sponsorship for this role.
