- • Own the operations workstream for Seccl’s European launch, focusing on custody, assets, and trading operations across multiple markets.
- • Design and implement end-to-end operational processes including reconciliations, asset transfers, corporate actions, payments, and trading workflows tailored to European regulatory environments.
- • Act as the central point of coordination for complex operational issues, driving resolution from identification to completion across teams.
- • Support the onboarding of external partners by defining operational requirements, evaluating service levels, and ensuring alignment with Seccl’s standards.
- • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate operational needs into scalable platform capabilities and system requirements.
- • Work closely with compliance and regulatory leads to ensure all processes meet local market expectations and adhere to evolving regulatory frameworks.
- • Identify operational risks early and implement pragmatic, scalable controls within a fast-moving, highly regulated fintech environment.
- • Shape the target operating model for Seccl’s European expansion, adapting proven platform capabilities to new market conditions and customer demands.
- • Translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into clear, executable workflows that can be adopted by internal teams and external partners.
- • Maintain hands-on involvement in both process design and execution, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational delivery.
- • Build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders in product, commercial, compliance, and engineering to ensure seamless operational integration.
- • Operate autonomously in a dynamic environment where structures are continuously tested, improved, and scaled to support rapid growth.
- • Embrace ambiguity and uncertainty inherent in scaling a fintech platform across diverse European jurisdictions.
- • Demonstrate ownership of outcomes by following through on commitments and delivering results without heavy top-down direction.
- • Contribute to a culture of experimentation, challenge, and transparency by actively participating in process improvements and operational innovation.
- • Travel at least monthly between Seccl’s offices in London, Edinburgh, and Bath to support cross-site collaboration and operational alignment.
- • Work hybrid: 2–3 days per week in either the London or Edinburgh office, with flexibility to operate remotely on other days.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in European custody and trading operations within a broker, custodian, fintech, or investment platform business
- • Deep understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of trades and assets, including settlement, reconciliation, corporate actions, and payments
- • Proven experience working across multiple European markets with awareness of their operational and regulatory nuances
- • Ability to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into clear, executable processes
- • Comfort operating in fast-paced environments where structures are continuously tested, improved, and scaled
- • Hands-on mindset: equally comfortable designing processes and executing them directly
