📋 Description

• The Operations Manager for the House of Stake (HoS) at NEAR Foundation plays a governance-critical role in establishing independent operational capacities to ensure structural rigor, documentation integrity, payment execution reliability, and full operational visibility across initiatives within the decentralized NEAR ecosystem.
• This role is essential for reducing operational risk by centralizing responsibilities currently distributed across leadership, enabling governance leaders to focus on strategy while the Operations Manager ensures audit-ready systems and reliable execution.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring all contracts, amendments, and supporting documents are properly executed and stored; maintaining a centralized contract tracker; tracking approval workflows to prevent agreements from proceeding without required sign-offs; and coordinating closely with Legal on contract lifecycle management.
• The role involves preparing and executing both crypto and FIAT payment requests; verifying that documentation and approvals are complete before processing; tracking payment status and reconciling commitments; maintaining budget visibility across HoS activities; and coordinating with Finance to ensure timely execution.
• Operational tracking duties include maintaining a live overview of all HoS initiatives and commitments; monitoring milestones, dependencies, and execution risks; flagging delays, compliance gaps, or missing documentation; and developing lightweight reporting dashboards for leadership to support informed decision-making.
• Process design responsibilities involve creating scalable operational workflows; establishing clarity around handoffs between Governance, Legal, and Finance teams; introducing structured templates and standards; and reducing operational ambiguity and institutional risk through formalized systems.
• The Operations Manager acts as the connective tissue between the HoS Foundation, HoS Governance and Head of Governance, NEAR Foundation Legal, NEAR Foundation Finance, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination across functions.
• The role offers the opportunity to build foundational operations infrastructure in a rapidly evolving Web3 governance environment, gaining deep exposure to DAO structures, token-based governance, and cross-functional coordination in a decentralized ecosystem.
• Success in this role enables the individual to drive institutional resilience in a pioneering governance model, directly contributing to the legitimacy, transparency, and scalability of the NEAR ecosystem’s governance layer.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operations, legal operations, program management, or a closely related field
• Proven experience coordinating with Legal and Finance teams on contract lifecycle, payment execution, and compliance matters
• Demonstrated ability to manage contracts and documentation workflows, including version control, approval tracking, and audit-ready storage
• Strong organizational and tracking skills with high risk awareness and meticulous attention to detail
• Experience building or formalizing operational systems, including process design, template creation, and workflow standardization
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments, with preference for candidates familiar with foundations, DAOs, or Web3 ecosystems, particularly within the NEAR ecosystem
