Optimization Systems Engineer, Lead

📋 Description

• • As an Optimization Systems Engineer, Lead at Up Labs Inc., you will own the integration architecture between scheduling and optimization algorithms and the product platform, ensuring that algorithmic intelligence works reliably in real-world manufacturing environments.
• • Day to day, you will design how scheduling algorithms and constraint solvers plug into the platform, own interfaces and data contracts, architect production-grade systems around optimization approaches, evaluate solver tradeoffs, and collaborate with data science and platform teams to define data needs and latency requirements.
• • You will join a small, technical team in the 0-to-1 phase building scheduling intelligence for manufacturers, with no legacy codebase, where every design decision is still on the table and you will have significant influence over architecture, technical roadmap, and product direction.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in bridging algorithmic intelligence with production software, gain leadership experience as we scale, and shape how manufacturers sense, respond to, and learn from schedule disruptions through a fundamentally new approach to scheduling intelligence.
