📋 Description
- • Embark on a critical mission as a Subject Matter Expert technical consultant within Guidehouse, focusing on a vital public sector financial services loan application project. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful migration and ongoing support of complex financial systems, demanding a deep understanding of Oracle database technologies and PL/SQL programming.
- • You will be instrumental in reviewing and translating intricate technical requirements, specifically those related to a significant migration initiative from COBOL to Oracle. Your expertise will guide the architecture and implementation of the new Oracle-based system, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
- • A core responsibility will be to provide robust support for existing and new loan application programs within the Oracle PL/SQL environment. This involves troubleshooting, optimizing, and enhancing existing codebases to meet evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
- • You will actively develop new functionality, contributing directly to the enhancement and expansion of the loan application system. This includes designing, coding, testing, and deploying new features that improve user experience, streamline processes, and add strategic value to the client's operations.
- • Leverage your extensive PL/SQL expertise to craft sophisticated stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers that encapsulate complex business logic and ensure efficient data manipulation.

- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- • Participate actively in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
- • Utilize GitHub for version control and collaborative development, adhering to best practices for code management and deployment.
- • Contribute to the technical documentation of the system, including design specifications, code comments, and user guides, to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintainability.
- • Identify and implement best practices in database development and performance tuning to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the loan application system.
- • Play a key role in ensuring compliance with security standards and data privacy regulations within the Oracle database environment.
- • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience (four (4) years of additional experience in lieu of degree).
- • Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- • Proven experience with Oracle database versions 11g, 12c, or 19c, operating within a Unix/Linux environment.
- • Demonstrated ability to write advanced business logic using PL/SQL and apply advanced query refactoring and tuning techniques.
- • Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture, including data modeling, indexing, and performance optimization.
- • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and version control systems like GitHub.
- • Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
- • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
- • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance.
