  • • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications to support enterprise business processes across Extreme Networks’ global operations.
  • • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Oracle PL/SQL programs, packages, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, and Operations to ensure Oracle systems align with organizational goals and data integrity standards.
  • • Perform end-to-end testing of Oracle applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • • Optimize existing Oracle database queries and PL/SQL code to improve execution speed, reduce resource consumption, and enhance system scalability.
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Oracle databases, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and application errors.
  • • Document technical designs, data flows, and system configurations for Oracle applications to support knowledge transfer and compliance requirements.
  • • Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards and best practices for Oracle development environments.
  • • Work closely with database administrators (DBAs) to manage database schema changes, index optimization, and backup/recovery procedures.
  • • Stay current with Oracle technology updates, patches, and new features to recommend improvements and enhancements to existing systems.
  • • Support legacy Oracle applications while assisting in the migration of data and functionality to newer platforms as directed by IT strategy.
  • • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior analysts and developers on Oracle programming techniques and database best practices.
  • • Respond to urgent system outages or data integrity issues with timely resolution and post-mortem analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • • Ensure all Oracle applications comply with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements such as SOX and GDPR.
  • • Participate in agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of the IT development team.
  • • Coordinate with third-party vendors and external consultants on Oracle-related integrations and system enhancements.
  • • Maintain accurate records of system changes, version control, and deployment logs using approved ITIL and change management processes.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows, automation scripts, and monitoring tools for Oracle environments.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL programming and database development
  • • Experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, or 19c
  • • Strong understanding of SQL optimization and performance tuning
  • • Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • • Experience working in a corporate IT environment with enterprise-level applications
  • • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN
