📋 Description

• As an OT Security Engineer at DSL-01, you will help build and secure the operational technology environment of one of Europe’s first large-scale Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production facilities, contributing directly to the safe and successful delivery of a landmark greenfield refinery project.
• You will design OT network architectures, secure critical production systems (PLCs, DCS, SCADA), manage cybersecurity risks, implement practical security controls, and support incident response activities while balancing cybersecurity, operational continuity, and safety in a highly automated industrial environment.
• You will join an experienced team at SkyNRG’s DSL-01 facility in Delfzijl, working closely with OT Engineers, automation specialists, plant operations, and IT security teams to embed cybersecurity from day one in a pioneering SAF plant producing 100,000 tonnes of SAF and 35,000 tonnes of sustainable by-products annually.
• You will have the opportunity to shape the OT security foundations of a state-of-the-art industrial plant from the ground up, gain deep expertise in IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82 standards, and contribute to a sustainable energy future while developing cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, innovative environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• At least 4 years of cybersecurity experience, including experience within Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or industrial environments
• Solid understanding of industrial control systems such as PLCs, DCS, and SCADA environments
• Experience with OT networking and industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA
• Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82
• Fluency in English; Dutch language skills considered a strong advantage
